I think they tried this with some of the BF games if I am not mistaken, and console players got decimated 90% of the time. PC players have too many options to play with a better advantage.

its quite a hotly debated point, some people (usually microsoft) claim thats the case, other dev's say the difference is marginal at best.
general school of thought seems to be it basically depends in the game, games which require say a high amount of reaction and accuracy, ie COD, keyboard/mouse tends to come out on top. other games like bf which require more about tactics, ie having the right weapon at the right time, knowing where the enemy etc much less so.
games like defiance would fit perfectly with cross platform.
mostly this idea that kb/m is better then pads 24/7 is mostly to cover the fact that its simply about profiteering. i wouldnt be surprised if ms and sony keep up this act about hating each other, because they know it will force more people to buy both to play with all there friends. if crossplatform was main stream, most people would only ever need to buy 1 or the other.
I ended up ordering the deluxe Digital and the wife ordered the Ultimate Collectors so we can have the phat loot for the collection at the house.
Ultimate for PC, both the husband and I. :D
Regular edition. I don't believe in a single penny more than $60 for a game. I hate DLC/edition/"perks based on what store you buy from" practices with every ounce of my being.
Piss on season pass BS for that matter as well.
I went with the standard edition for PS3 for now. I may cancel that and upgrade to the collector's edition if I like it enough in the beta (whenever that actually happens for consoles).
Wouldn't even consider the ultimate edition, since I'm neither a fan of GameStop nor the concept of a retailer getting an exclusive edition (exclusive DLC is bad enough).
I got the Ultimate Edition for Xbox 360. I like the messenger bag, could be useful to have when I carry around my Xbox 360.
