No one really uses the chat at all. I've used it on occasion, but its a bit clunky on the consoles, and from what I hear PC players dont use it at all.
This might encourage some people to start using it now. :)
try /help ;)
/bug Open submit ticket window
/logout Logout to char select screen.
I think just a small change to the chat mechanic would really open up the MMO aspect of the game. As it is, you see one line of text. It might as well not even be there. You can't really see people talking unless you stop what you're doing and go into chat mode.
Make the dang window bigger and let old text fade from the screen.

I had someone use the chat on 360 in a group last night, to tell me my game sound was "wayyyy too loud."
I still have no idea WTF he was talking about, I didn't even have a mic hooked up...

And I just saw it in the list ... didn't noticed it when I checked out the commands when I got the game. Funny, considering you'd have to know the comand to be informed about it's existence. ;>

/w player name sends them a purple message like a private chat but does not require the recipient to accept
/i player name invites to group
/r replies to a private message, gets confusing, if you are IN a private chat with another player it will send this message to whomever you last did /w to, NOT the person in private chat with you

/played - Provides amount of time played
/time - Provides server as well as local time
/area [Message] - Send text to the general channel
/exit, /quit - Quits the game
/logout - Logs out
/inspect [Player] - Inspects the player
/trade [Player] - Initiates trade with named player
/dance - Performs the dance emote
/cheer - Performs the cheer emote
/taunt - Performs the taunt emote
/greet - Performs the greet emote
/report [Player] - Reports player as a spammer and mutes them
Group Commands
/i, /inv, /invite [Player] - Invites player to your party/group
/leavegroup, /leaveparty - Leave group
/kick, /u, /un, /uninvite [Player] - Removes player from your group if you are the group leader

I would like to have seen a /goto to port to a clan member. It's a pain to go through the quick menu when pressed for time.
