I had a tough time with co-ops at first as well, the whole waiting an hour until you could gather a group of randoms who either would sit idle or charge off and scream at people for not charging ahead to revive him. This was one of the biggest plus about clans for me. Could easily get a clan group together for co-ops, pvp and shadow wars going. However with the poor play retention Defiance seems to have a clan can go to having 300 - 400 active people to 5 active people 3 months later, and you then go back to sitting in que for an hour or two.
At one point during Trick talked about the issues and stating things like clan only pvp maps, or 2 player instance co - ops maps and such. Then again he said alot of things and that was what... 2 years ago? That and no more Trick. I'd still like to see a 2 player co-op.
I like to rush through co-ops as much as the next person, but there are times that I love taking my time and going slow, especially when you have new people in the game that want to explore, gather recorders and shoot things without feeling overly rushed. Me? I just refuse to wait in que for hours. As for the kicking thing, I have known a person or two that would kick people for the sole reason that he wanted the higher score for more forge, as well as the exploit where I was involved in an expedition where there were 6 people in it....One of these days some of the issues will get smoothed out.
