Pick Your Side: Pro-Bacon, Anti-Bacon or Vegan?
Thread started out of boredom.
What will it be, folks?
Are you a fan of the fatty strips of hog that now comes in many guises: gum, toothpaste, breath mints, air fresheners, chocolate dipped, candied, and, yes!, even perfume for those who care?
Do you cringe at the odor of the fairly meatless meat frying in a skillet or on a griddle, or baking in the oven, or being cooked, hot dog style on a stick, over an open flame?
Find yourself crying at the thought of people chowing down like brain-starved zombies on anything with a face?
These are the questions that separate the...well, the meat eaters from the non-meat eaters, basically.
I have to go pro-bacon, though in moderation. Done right, and it can brighten a dish or sandwich like nothing else. Done wrong, and the ghosts of slaughtered hogs should haunt you forever.
