What are you talking about? You still have to put the disc in when you install a game. But installing it makes your Xbox produce less noise and it sometimes makes the game faster too.
Oh, and the reason it makes less noise is because the disc is no longer spinning while your Xbox tries to read it. Because it is now using the data directly from the hard drive. But they make it so you still need the disc because.. well, if not then people could just rent games, install them, then take it back, therefore owning the game for pretty much nothing.
yes, loading screen times on larger games such as skyrim are cut by about half. you still have to use the disk D351.
personally, i only install the large RPG games, and delete them afterwards. i have 120 gigs and about 118 are free.... guess my hard drive is too big.....
That's why I have a 320GB xbox ;)
I am almost certain you can't put everything on USB flash drives. Personally I have 250gb but I have heard that you can't usually put install's or dlc on flash drives you actually need a hard drive. Again, I may be wrong.
A 7gig load to the hd isn't all that bad. By the time they get done with dlc content I'm sure it'll be over 10 and that's acceptable. My Battlefield 3 takes up over 20gigs of space so far and they have another dlc coming w/ update. 10gig or a little more is fine with me.
Well I have the original XBox with the 10gb external hard drive and my laptop is not good enough to play games on (it is mostly for work). I guess that means I have gotten my hopes up for nothing. Well it has been fun guys.
i jus feel sorry for anyone who bought those cheap xbox's with next to no hdd space. what where they thinking when they sold them ill never know
