I'm going mental with the quick menu being activated when I press the analog stick to sprint. Anyone had this issue too or It's just me being a terrible at console games? (I mostly play games on PC but wanted to play Defiance from the couch).

are you accidently hitting the d-pad when sprinting, i had the same issues early on, just be gentle with the controller :)
I've had the same problem, and I'm not hitting the D-pad for sure. Its happened when I've been using one of my older controllers so I can't rule that out. I can however pretty much predict that it'll happen when I move and get pounded by a grenade at the same time.
I'm positive I'm not hitting the D-pad. I'm using an old controller, tho. Anyone else having the same issue?
It's the controller, probably need a new one, I had a worse problem when I started. My damn left analog stick was slightly stuck forward where any other game it wouldnt even register but on here... constantly slinking forward lol
what happens is your controller gets all lose inside from misuse so when you click the stick it sometime registers left down or up on the d pad, if you dont want to buy a new controller just make sure the analog stick is straight and lightly click it whenever you sprint. Or just remap the controller where something useless is in its place
Definitely the controller. My older one does this as well. Actually, if pressure is applied anywhere to the left side, directly under the analog stick, any number of things can happen from chat window opening, jumping, calling vehicle, ect.
Agreed - the controller. I've recently tossed two aside for the same issue. I noticed while playing Black Ops :(
The same issue occurs on the PC when trying to sprint using keyboard and mouse. It has to be an issue with the game itself.

Exactly my experience and response. Thank you for the remapping tip. I am an idiot for not thinking of that.
I know it's my controller because I have a less "mis-used" controller that does not have this issue. Though that one does the creep forward you mentioned. Time to hit eBay or amazon for a replacement.
