Let's be honest. Who is close to quitting?

Im contemplating on quitting because I can't seem to complete two missions in a row without all of the enemies an NPC's dissapearing. Getting a little frustrating when I get halfway through a mission and then I have to restart it 3 times. Im trying my best to be patient with Trion, but it is starting to wear thin. Quickly.

If this was a contained game locally to your console and for your benefit to play and it had bugs, sure that would be upsetting cause they couldn't even make it work in a contained environment. Where as an MMO relies on so many factors outside of not just your control, but in some cases Trion's (Sony and MS approval processes, Xbox live architecture, etc) that to make such a statement only shows a lack of understanding about your purchase.

Like I said before. Putting a MMO title on your game so you can realease a beta build is unacceptable, console or not. and once you put the label MMO on it, a couple of basic mechanics need to be in place/working period.

And this only scratches the surface of why this game is currently meh

This is unacceptable!

MMOs have been launching with bugs and missing content for as long as there have been MMOs.

Single player games launch with bugs and missing content.

Sometimes the games are good enough that we enjoy them anyway (Kotor, Fallout3). Sometimes they are not (WarZ).

Now keep in mind... I spend a week farming keycodes/faction points in order to perfect that rifle. I traded, posted on forums, was active in every freakin A.F outthere.. In order to get the perfect synergies+mods = setup.

This is all taken away with a blink of an eye due to a stupid bug and due to a company NOT giving their employees the proper tools which they should have - Trion isn't a NEW company in the MMO genre...keep that in mind.

Like I said, I'd be pissed too. No one is saying they don't understand that. It's the way you reacted to it that set people off. I've played games in the past where I lost raid gear permanently and another game where my account got hacked. The hacker took all of my tradeable equipment and money then deleted everything. By the time they got my account back there was really nothing left to reclaim. The CSR didn't have the ability to track all my old gear or even list it so I lost everything. I didn't quit playing though. Just restarted and got a little help from some guildies. I did so without flaming on the forums. I didn't blame the CSR or the devs. I did get 3 free months of play time though.

Moral of the story, mourn it and move on. Trion is a good company. It just may take them a little time get it straight.

Well Synergy as a whole is absolutely cryptic to me, but if you say it's time consuming I believe you. Tremendous shame from the sounds of it. Keep pressing the issue, they have to give you the weapon back.

I just bought the game, when I read crap like this its like... woah, give the game some time? The show just aired 2 episodes and they are working on bugs atm. Relax and give it time, you already own it and there is no sub so chill.

Here's the thing I think you, and a LOT of other people complaining on this board, are missing: This game is going to rocket forward once the show gets under way. The Dev team has already alerted us to upcoming major patches (8 PAGES of patch notes!), and have alluded to a DLC sometime within the next several months.

The idea behind the game right now- as far as I can tell- is to get people familiar with everything. If there is one thing Rift taught me about Trion, it's that they don't skimp on content. Without having any insider details, I can make an educated guess and say, there is a ton of good stuff coming.

The 8 pages patch was bug fixings, and we (PC) players already got it.
As for the show it is well on it's way, as it's already gonna be episode 3 after the weekend.
Rift devs (Trion) aren't the same Devs as for Defiance (The "other" Trion)
1st DLC will be in 3 months, and next playable episode missions, only next year for season 2.

If you wait that long with the same content you have now...

I tip my hat to you good sir, as you are very brave.

Rather than quit and lose 60 bucks worth, I'm thinking play Dragons Dogma:Dark Arisen for a month, and come back. good plan? thought so.

Its most marketable feature with the TV tie in has not had a chance, so why should I quit?

Imagine this:

You are in a club. You see a really hot girl, yet after watching her for an hour, her dance moves seem repetitive.

Going by real world club examples said woman with crappy dancing moves is likely drunk, and if she is drunk at a club and asks you back to your place either one or two of the cases may happen.

1- She's drunk and if you have sex with her you'll likely get an STD from her.
2- She's on drugs and may die in her bed before, during or after sex also the STD thing still applies.
3- She gets knocked up because "She can't get prego." so you believe her (because you're likely drunk yourself) also the STD thing still applies.
4- You go back to her place and her Boyfriend/Husband/Baby Daddy walks in and kills both of you.
5- You go back to her place and her Girlfriend/Wife/Baby Momma walks in and kills both of you.
6- She's a Prostitute you're now out whatever she charges (unless you want Gator breaking your legs) and the STD thing still applies.

I bought this game only for casual gameplay, when i'm bored in my regular MMO or just want some mindless shooting, so in this function it works but this could never be a "main" game for me, it lacks too many essential features, lacks any sense of community and it's just not immersive at all.
It is fun no denying that but in small doses or else it would become boring/repetitive real fast,
so no not quitting.
