Lagfiance from horrible to more horrible
I have been playing for over 3 years now and the lag and disconnects keep on getting worse. I have heard every excuse in the book form Trion maybe some of it is true, but lets face it they have blamed everything possible, ddos attacks, problems with their isp, the exchange, monkeys farting in China, or whatever is next. It seems like now its a 50/50 shot at a disconnect when porting to another player. After about the forth dc in one arkfall i just give up, and find something else to do. I really like defiance but with all the problems it has its no longer fun to play

Monkeys farting in China! That's the best one ever, I'll be laughing for days from that one!

Don't know what yer talking about... haven't had any shard crashes or disconnects since the event started... some lag sure but 200 + people on one shard all massed in one location will do that.

Same here only 1 disconnect since the event started and i've played like 5 hours a day and i'm on console. So not really that bad for me.

Happy to see your not critting. But 90% of the rest of the game is. Never had to clear my cache in the decade I played 360 till I played defiance. They have blamed my isp then my configuration then tried blaming their own isp. Hey guys maybe it's YOUR CONFIGURATION. When majority is having the same problem maybe it's time to take a look at the lowest common denominator.......which is trion. I've seen the same problem in every single game you provide on every single platform you provide it for. Common sense. It's obvious who the problem originates from.

*I must admit though that this event for me is running alot smoother concerning lag and disconnects than previous events but I have no doubts that they will rear their ugly heads once again in the future.

Trump has agreed to observe the One China policy in exchange for China promising to reduce monkey fart emissions by a significant amount. While the improvements to server connections won't be noticed during this event, we should be OK by the time Armistice rolls out.

I'm always amazed by the number of people who don't actually check their own connection. There are things that you have to do in order to game.

    1: no wireless connections ever
2: make sure you have a modem with more than 8 channels. If it has 8 then you are bare minimum 8 channels or less = potato.
3: Buy your own modem/router devices, no the one your ISP gives you is not a gaming modem.
4: Make sure your ISP is not throttling you for bandwidth like it's some kind of fossil fuel or something.
5: Make every effort to support municipal internet in your state.
6: Make sure your ISP line doesn't have noise on it.
7: Never use DSL unless you live right next to the ISP servers.
8: Always use UPNP on your router especially if you have multiple devices. If you only have one gaming device and you are getting a moderate or strict nat then you need to port forward.

If you haven't even begun to check on any of these things, please do every game developer a favor out there and don't bother contacting them about lag until you've made sure everything is 100% on your side.

I've used wireless connection for a while now, haven't noticed the difference.
