That could be incorporated into Defiance. A Player may want to just roll a shotgun, and work on Ammo Caches and vehicles while supporting his team mates. Possible fix turrets and such. Anyone could do it if you had the Mechanic Gun. :) Just another thing you could do in Defiance. Maybe open more pursuits, suits, and unlock-able items in game.

I still don't think it would work. Vehicle maybe, but not ammo. Here would be the situation. Everyone would have an "ammo gun, ammo drop" in there inventory. Blast away, run low on ammo, switch to ammo drop, drop a few, switch back to my big gun and shoot more. It would basicly give everyone unlimited ammo.

Seems like from the videos that no one ever runs out of ammo anyways (though there might be ammo hungry weapons I haven't seen yet and thats how they limit those weapons usage). If people do run out then it becomes a viable support. You are thinking it is easy, but if you make it technical or make it take time to make or make it so that you have to collect extra ammo ahead of time... then the chances of everyone doing it are greatly reduced. Sure people will still have them of course, but in combat few people will be using it. I would imagine that running out of ammo would normally only happen in the big baddy fights. So it could be a viable support class, but I somewhat doubt we will see it.

While it's a nice idea, from what I've seen so far, there's plenty ammo laying around. Except for rocket launchers maybe. But having constant ammo for such a weapon would be overkill.

I do see your point. I guess until we actually see the game, it will be hard to tell how viable it was. I just liked in the live stream how he started running out of ammo and said "O crap, I am running out I need to go get some" Even if he just had to pick some up from a mob, it was nice to have that depth. I can't just always use my biggest gun all the time, need to be tactical.

Yeah for sure. Nice that you actually saw someone run out of ammo. In the vid that I watched he didn't even try to collect ammo and he had way more than he needed. Might have been his weapon choices that caused that.

Ammunition is being worked on. There wouldn't be build a few. These are set placements that you could use the gun on to build. Like an ammo cache. You don't carry it around. Like you wouldn't carry around a tire to put on every teamates flat tire. Just the wrench to help. See what I am saying? It would have a set duration to build. Maybe two refills per teammate. I'm not talking about ammo boxed. A huge Cache of Ammo that can be built right after your team captures a base. It destroys when you lose it. You will also be able to repair the Competitive Vehicles.

That is how ideas are brought into design. Wouldn't be a horrible feature.
