So I just bought this game today but have been at work all day, cant wait to get home. Anyways I'm under the assumption that this game came out April 2 or 3 (5 days ago) and people already have Orange legendary weapons (the best in the game?) in only 5 days?
Please tell me this isnt true and there are better things to achieve after playing for a longer amount of time
They can pop up in Tier 4 lockboxes. It is random. But this isn't your typical MMO, and not your typical loot system, believe me when I say that it is nothing to get too worked up over.

I wouldn't say they are common and unless duplication (which is possible but will be patched soon I'd wager) takes over oranges will be rare.
You have to remember that weapons have a finite lifespan due to the weapon leveling mechanic. All these oranges aren't really going to be used to level weapon proficiency and at the same time they aren't super powered like in other games. An orange right now is a nifty thing to have but in a couple days/weeks they'll just be cluttering your bag or broken down for resources.

As you use a gun it levels your Weapon skill, once the gun is maxed you have to switch to a different gun in order to continue the skill progression. I bought 4 of the Tier 2 lockboxes yesterday and got 8 yellow items. Only two were worth keeping.
I still have a Tier 3 and a Tier 4 lockbox to be picked up at the store. Not sure when I'll feel like wasting them too...

What?? Yellow items are not orange. Yellow is worth twice what white is, although I scrapped the weapons because I was shorter on scrap than script. And you get two items per Tier 2 lockbox, so 4 purchases would be 8 items.Quote:

Even though people have Orange items (I have 2) you still need to get really lucky because Orange items can be complete junk.
Firstly, some items are just useless junk. So if your orange item is an orange version of a junk item, it's going to still be junk.
Secondly, if you get lucky enough to get an orange version of a good item, then you have to be lucky again to get good random added stats on it. For example, if you get an orange sniper and the random stats are like increased melee damage, then it will still be junk.
You have to get really lucky to get a good weapon in this game.
I'm EGO Rating 1294 and the best gun I have ever found is like EGO Rating 200ish. So in over 1000 levels, I havn't found a replacement. Good luck!
It is in the in game marketplace, hit start bring up character screen, hold left trigger, up pops a hud, keep holding trigger and I think the market is on the bottom
lol i got 3 of them, FRC Saw (gave to a friend), a VBI sniper that shoots dual bursts(using) and a VBI rocket launcher that I never used so i turned in into 12 hundred resources or w/e the green things are. I got them from tier 2 lockboxes, the funny part, i dont think people realise a tier 4 is no better than a tier 2, it just gives you 4 items, but it's 64 keycodes, with 64 keycodes you can get 8 tier 2, which is 16 items, instead of just 4. i mostly get blue/purple and green, but in 1 day i got 3 legendary guns and got rid of 2.
