How great would it be if this game actually had some melee weapons in it? I just want a sword of some sort for all those melee times when the butt of a gun won't do it.

Tape a knife to your shotgun. Melee enough.

So people could run around and swing a sword all day and wonder why they are going down constantly? The Melee in game is a little different compared to swords, bats, fists, whatever. The melee in this game is used as a last resort/power ability that doesn't last the entire time you play...
This is a TPS not skyrim...
Not to mention there would be tons of people using cloak with melee enhancing perks running PvP one (or two) shotting everyone. Kind of like now with shotguns.
just give us swords and make them work like Nim's sword does
i don't see why shooting energy ("gun") and slashing ("melee") would be such a bad thing

Then the game shouldn't enforce a melee playstyle, but it does. Having a bunch of melee perks and a skill dedicated to melee. Wanting a melee weapon is the natural progression when given an entire melee build, with nothing to effectively use with it.Quote:

In the main mission The Bunker when Cass and Von Bach toddle of and leave you to protect thier escape for a bit of fun you can pick up the power fist that does ground pound or just smack npc's with it. This weapon turns up later on in another mission, while of limited use it could be the fore runner of a power sword that maybe shoots lightning bolts. Must ask Stark Enterprise's if they are working on it ;)
