Hello!
Wanted to have a fun post between all te issue posts. So, what weapons are you guys leveling?
Ego LVL - 303
I have level 5 SMG and lvl 5 snipers, but im leveling Assault rifles and Combat shotguns from now on because it's way more effective in PVP.
So, do you think thats smart? And why, what and with what reason are you lvling your weapons?

PS: Because the level cap is 20 I don't rush one type of weapon.
I look at the Combat pursuits.
Going Commando requires 5000 Assault Rifle kills (and skill 2), SMG skill 5, and Infector skill 10.
Stout Tactics requires 5000 LMG kills (and skill 2), Detonator skill 5, and BMG skill 10.
Snipe from the Shadows requires 5000 Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle kills (and skill 2), Pistol skill 5, and Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle skill 10.
Boomstick to the Face requires 5000 Combat Shotgun kills (and skill 2), Pump Shotguns skill 5, and Sawed-Off Shotgun skill 10.
So I am aiming for those skill levels. In addition, I will also max at least Assault Rifle (have to max one skill for Live to Kill pursuit) and probably LMG. We'll see what I feel like after I finish all that.
Shotguns, shotguns and more shotguns!

As do I. Currently I have my highest ranks in LMGs, Assault Rifles and Bolt Action Snipers - all of which require 5k kills for pursuits. Since 1k kills got me to AR 6 I would hazard a guess that 5k should be enough to max out those skills. Also, LMGs and ARs are really nice weapons.Quote:

I don't use weapons for the sake of efficiency alone, I need to like them. Shotguns are fun, but they don't suit my rather cautious, distance/cover oriented style very well. Then again, I've not played any PvP yet.Quote:

Kills has nothing to do with weapon leveling, its entirely damage based, every time you hit a mob you get xp toward leveling your weapon skill based on the damage that hit does.
Also logically you require more xp for every skillup. noticeably it gets ALOT slower after you hit lvl 4.
And yes leveling bmg is a absolute nightmare, however I don't belive detonators or infectors would be nearly as bad to level.
Currently about to hit lvl 9 bmg, Im never touching another bmg again once I get there!
I sure hope that healing done with a BMG also increases the weapon skill, otherwise it's really gonna feel like an eternity to reach rank 10 :-(Quote:

Quickly figured out that healing was the absolute worst way to lvl it, much quicker with dmg, but even then its easily 10 times slower then anything else ive leveled.
Thing with leveling bmg is every thing takes a eternity to kill, so it gets extremly boring, with other weapons I just go along my usual business driving around doing dynamic missions as they pop up.
can't wait to reach 10, really excited to see what colors the reskin of the machinist outfil will have, its one of the few outfits I really like as irathient male.

As we can tell im gunning for that Assassin title :D Got the cloaked kills, halfway on semi-auto 8 and iv been stockpiling bolt actions to use for leveling it as I get that 5k kills. Leveling pistols was hard because...SNIPER RIFLE!...honestly I just cloaked up to things and shot them in the back of the head. It made it 10x easier. Also finding those repeatable fish-in-barrel quests where you have allies to play decoy...awesomeness.
Side-note...Nim got me Pump Shotty lvl5! **** YOU ***** I WIN, 1 TRY!
I am leveling Infectors because I love Infectors. The high levels for Infectors are PRETTY AMAZING. +20% range for example. This is an absolutely ENORMOUS deal for a player like me.
