Anyone here gonna play the new SimCity?

I've watched the beta gameplay videos so far and seems pretty cool game

Prolly will help me pass the time until Defiance comes out :)

They close alot of servers these days...

I will be. I got to play beta and it was amazing of course after I buy a copy im going to download a crack for it to bypass that stupid drm crap and play offline.

Yep, got it preordered. I need something to play for the next month ;)

They only close servers after a game has been out for 3 years and there aren't enough players still playing it to justify the expense of continuing to run it. So you're SOL if trying to get achievements for old games, but if you buy a new game or a game that's been out less than 3 years you have plenty of time to get all the achievements for the game before the servers close. Not all EA games have multiplayer achievements either... Mass Effect series doesn't even have multiplayer until the 3rd game in the series and none of the achievements for it require multiplayer. So if the servers close on ME3 you can still get all of the achievements without ever have played any multiplayer.

I don't think that will be possible since the cities will be saved on EA's servers

Trust me they have done it many times before. Every game even one's like this one that req always on DRM can be bypassed and for saving on servers they can just route it to a local file or make a cracked server that your connect to instead. A lot of them do a lot of reprogramming and revers engineering.

i'm interested, but not dropping $60 on it. I'll wait awhile for the price to drop.
