EGO Code Contest: Win a Von Bach T-Shirt!
With the release of our EGO-Grid web application (www.defiance-central.com/ego-calculator/) yesterday and the news that we hid a EGO code inside the application we thought it would be a nice idea to give an extra reward to the first person that find the code.

Last few weeks the Defiance Community has been amazing hunting for the codes, taking close looks at video footage, images and even taking apart websites. We encourage everyone to keep up the awesome collaboration of the past few weeks!

The EGO code you are looking for is hidden somewhere on our Ego-Calculator , So without further ado here is the price that we will be handing out for the first person who finds and posts the EGO code

    http://defiance-central.com/wp-conte...wag/tshirt.jpg

    The hints so far:
    1. "There might be a surprise locked away in the grid for those who explore it carefully."
    2. "Only the right combination will give you what your looking for."
    3. "It will be quite hard to find in the code (meaning there is an easier way to find it), but is not inside any of the images as well."

New hints will be given out as time goes by on the forums, our website (www.defiance-central.com) and our twitter accounts (@DefianceKal, @Jenbu3D & @DefianceCentral).

    How to win:
The first person who posts the EGO code in this thread will win the Von Bach T-Shirt! We will contact you afterwards to sort out the delivery!

    And the winner is:
    egoboy!

    Regards,
    Kal

So each power has 5 lvls. each perk has 3, 88 perks. No idea how long the combination is....... I don't even know how to count how many possible combonations there are.. This is going to be a very long day.

I shouldn't get into it as I'll reveal too much BUT as each perk unlocks only 4 other perks (as they need to be connected) and another factor I will not mention yet it is not that high.

I was talking about the 6-digit codes that each digit has 36 possibles.

Suggestion: Seperate the "self-revives" from the "revives". as in "Self-Medicated" "Phoenix Boost" and "Unfinished Business"

They are like apples and oranges and add a filter for it too.

Nicely done! Jenbuu will contact you soon to take care of shipping etc

Interesting glitch in the code. If you right click to subtract a point using Firefox, you also get the context menu popup from the browser.

Interesting as that is disabled, which version of Firefox because I am not seeing this behavior, can you reproduce it after a page reload?

Let me open the site again and see. I'm using v19.0

Edit: 100% reproducible for me. I can right click anything I've added a point to, subtract the point and get the context popup at the same time.

I have a feeling Egoboy delved into the website's javascript and found my scrambled message. Which is fine it was one way to get it. The more obvious way to get it was form a letter T on the grid.

My next hint would have been something along the lines of:
"The first letter of the Company we love" that being TRION so T.

making you end up with a build like for example:
    http://defiance-central.com/ego-calc...-97a-&start=12

To make the code popup complete the T symbol by speccing into Overcharge.

Also it doesn't matter if there is 1 3 or 5 points spend anywhere aslong as its more than 1.

That's the same version I have, that's interesting, could you provide me with a screenshot?

I'm wondering where the code was hidden, I couldn't find it. I noticed you misspelled "Samaratin," it's Samaritan.

Sure. Give me a mo to take one and upload it. I tried to get FRAPS to make a vid, but it apparently doesn't like to do that for the desktop, or I'm just doing it wrong LOL.

    Edit: Screenshot

    welll...
First I clicked on every perk level on every block to see if you had it hidden in the text. Then I went through the Filters and chose perks within Filter types. Then I clicked around randomly for a bit. And finally I pulled up the page source, went through that and didn't see it. Then started going through the reference pages and found it in the javascript that you didn't lock. :) There is a command to lock us from seeing your javascript for future reference.

    Code:

    if(jQuery("#col33").attr("points") == 0 &&jQuery("#col39").attr("points") == 0&&jQuery("#col40").attr("points") == 0&& jQuery("#col32").attr("points") == 0 && jQuery("#col44").attr("points") == 0 && jQuery("#col54").attr("points") == 0 && jQuery("#col64").attr("points") == 0  && jQuery("#col74").attr("points") == 0 && jQuery("#col84").attr("points") == 0 && jQuery("#col94").attr("points") == 0 && jQuery("#col48").attr("points") == 0 && jQuery("#col58").attr("points") == 0 && jQuery("#col68").attr("points") == 0 && jQuery("#col78").attr("points") == 0 && jQuery("#col88").attr("points") == 0 && jQuery("#col98").attr("points") == 0 ){
                            alert("Yo"+"u ha"+"ve un"+"lock"+"ed an E"+"GO"+" co"+"de: 34"+"TPus")
                    }

But this is the layout you were going for:
    http://defiance-central.com/ego-calc...-97a-&start=12

What do you think we have been doing for the last month trying to find codes!? Going through source code and images is part of the process. :) I guess in fairness I could have emailed you the code and said it was easier to find it in the source than make a "T".

Glad we have mucho intelligent computer people wishing to play this game because I spent a lot of time testing out different things and came up with nothing. Would have taken me forever to find it, well until the Trion hint at least. Kudos egoboy!
