Cash shop needs outfits and headgear it had in beta. Defiance isn't Pokemon, it's not Gears of War or Call of Duty w/ a bazillion weapon skins , it's Defiance.

Those who ignore the history of our fore fathers are those destined to be in ruins*. After all whos to say you wont make the same mistake if you dont know the past so that you can help prevent the same mistakes in the present, if not future*
cite your proof on that comment... .i have a hard time believing your comments, and which "military" your referencing and for which mil specs were talking about...
As for military arms... according to the GOVERNMENT< our weapons have ID #s and a government PATENT pending tag or patent # issued with the weapon. ex: 42221112332 or something crazy like that, as a SN, alongside the weapon weapon stalk* at least in my case. From handling weapons thanks to the us military.
To my understanding weapons come from various parts, some are manufactured on base, others are manufactured in government assembly lines, its all depending on where their ordered from, and where their actually assembled, vs where the parts are actually created, shipped to and assembled at*
I'm with you on that!
In a different thread, I was commenting on how crazy it is that the character creation system said my name...Ronin...was profanity. So I'm with you on the Asian history in a few ways I'm sure.
My comment about "Learning History" was more of a blanket statement...and not directed specifically at you. Just an FYI.
Regarding the buffs:
- Buffs should only use in game time, so you would not feel you´re wasting money. Make them last for 4h or a maximum of 12h ingame time.
- Raise the buff to at least 30%, better 50% or even 100%. 10% is a laugh, I won´t even waste a thought spending real money for a 10% buff.
Skins and gifts: Don´t care
Pets: WTF ?? Umm... no !
I agree with your "buffs" comments. I won't buy a 10% buff either!
35%...I might consider it.
50%...Sure. Every now and then.
100%...Hell yes!
I also think "consumable buffs" would be useful additionally. They would stack on top of other account buffs but not with each other. You could buy for use in combat to bolster your health or boost your shields.
Just don't call them "potions" or some silly crap! I'd rather go into "The Crater" bar and buy some "Jack Daniels" that would boost my health for an hour (Hint...Hint Trion! Another brand name to market in the game!!) LOL
RE Pets: remeber Dr. Malcom from Jurassic Park? "Just because you can do a thing doesn't mean you should". Or something like that. Pets, especially dueling pets a la Pokemon, would just be completely stupid. Would that even fit into the lore? I mean if you're going to try and turn Defiance into a standard WoW/any other MMORPG then you should first add a heal/buff skill set and have a perk or skill that draws aggro.
I paid real money for this game, and shouldn't have to pay more for costumes etc.
I'm happy to keep xp etc as a cash shop, so people can use either time, or money to level up, but everything else should be available to earn as well as buy.
If this were a free game, then the rules are different, but it wasn't, and being the most expensive PC game to date (£35 vs £25-£30 for most others) I'd like to think I can use all the content in the game I paid for.
Trion, please keep the cash shop for "unlocking stuff early", random loot boxes and convenience items, there shouldn't be anything I can't get by just playing the game (otherwise it has the worst of all worlds).
The one thing that drove people crazy in Global Agenda was that we bought the "full game with no subscription fees", only for it to go free play, with a cash shop. Then to cap it all people with the full game had to pay to get stuff that you couldn't get without real money.
It's a great game, fun and there seems to be a far bit to just "find", just don't get too greedy
PS. For boosts, it would be great to see a choice of: 7day boost (real time) being the same price as 24hr boost (game time) - for those that have plenty of time, and those that play when they can (eg us parents).
its not strange.. back then.. when American companies made products for American soldiers.. there were several that did a few contracts for the military.. more still came to be a contender in their market ONLY because they started with military work.
as for the M16 series weapons.. they are really old, the first one's not having a chrome lined barrel (which caused the huge failure issue with all the fouling.. chrome lined or not the original design is hugely flawed and operation increases failure.)
it started in 57, came into service in 58', armalite was having issues and sold the design to colt, who then did their thing to the ar15 and made the m16 which first saw duty in 1963 for Vietnam. it replaced the m14.. which I feel is still superior to the m16, none the less it was mandated to be the standard issue military service weapon, and still is today despite LARGE amounts of compelling factual data comparing it to several other weapon platforms.
a modification to a short piston operation would take the design further for the military.. it seems civilians and contractors are on the forefront of ASR tech.
while the nato 5.56 round is cute.. and worked.. the likely hood of needing to hit targets in armor is increasing.. I prefer nothing smaller than a 6.8, with 7.62 being my choice for asr calibers... ATM, my own (has swapable uppers for different round sizes) using the 5.56 match grade zeros out to 1km easily using the ta-31 ECOS. I prefer my m14 for much longer shots with stopping power, using the JEA-100 stock, vortech supressor, GG&G bipod, and MK4 Leopold scope.
Don't care much for the m4/m16 as it is, and so really the options are to heavily modify or get a better weapon.. like an hk416 or something..
btw.. my favorite for close up is the Superkrismk5... full auto 45. acp with almost no recoil and TIGHT shotgrouping.. just looking for better 100 rd drum solutions..
