Has anyone ever had a Purple or Orange item drop from an actual enemy?
Just curious, because I haven't ever seen one drop and I'm EGO Rating 1400+.
Only ever got them from Arkfalls and Lockboxes...

I got 2 purples and I'm EGO 950+. I use the one perk where you get a better chance for a drop and maxed it.
Orange..may not be possible.
It makes me wonder if buying the boost is even worth it..... My friend has a perk for better loot i think it was and i also had a 5% boost too for loot and we still never even had a purple or orange drop... wasted money tbh... it also sucks if you dont get purple or orange drops
Well, not even a purple drop at almost 1500 lol. In addition I should mention that i farm a lot, so it's even stranger.
I actually gave the paid for Loot Drop "bonus". For 24 hours I was watching enemies drop Shields and Grenades with the odd white weapon, utterly useless.Quote:

Short answer: No.
Though i can't be 100% sure... but i might have had a purple drop during one of the instances from the main quest line. (I said No above as i can't remember :) )
Other than that; the only two Orange weapons i've received have been from T4 lockboxes, various purples from Arkfalls & T3/T4 Lockboxes.
on a side note, i'm sticking to the Tier4 boxes from now on!

You mean the bright orange "Hey Pick Me up" blob? yeah I get that also i think everyone get's it. I think it's just to let you know instead of ammo / script its "Hey cool <insert item here> Dropped for you" Also it help when things drop in the tall grass sometimes.Quote:

I am around 600 now and got a ton of purples but sadly from lockboxes. The only orange i got was from a t3 lockbox and guess what... It was a nade. :mad: I think Trion has to overwork the whole loot-, lockbox- and arkfallreward system.
I have 2 purple shields, 11 purple weapons and 1 orange weapon, and I always find purple loot like 6 times a day, to be honesty I find purples so much I thought they were not that rare but I guess they're.
Has anyone else noticed that almost ALL of the major arkfall rewards are grenades or shields????
at the moment arkfalls are just too easy to warrant anything better then that, if they made them a challange then we shoud be rewarded with good loot....Quote:

I've had quite a few purple drops... No oranges though.
i have only had blue drops from enimies and i have 3% perk boost, plus i do quite often get items that glow orange BUT the writing is white and i still pick it up, but its a white item in my inventory. WHY?

I've seen 1 or 2 purples drop but haven't seen an orange yet.
I have got 2 purples from drops.
1 orange from lockbox.
Pretty decent rate I think.
901 and I've gotten a purple drop first week of game release nothin since. Still get a lot of blue but nothing higher

nope never. I did have a few drops either white or green that had a orange glow coming off them. Didn't understand why at the time? But as I understand it now that was just a bug that's been fixed in the patch.Quote:

I got a VOT Pulser orange smg at ego 40 and now that I'm 1277 ego I just got a VBI TACC Assault rifle orange so there is definitely luck involved. my guess is they didn't want it to turn into another borderlands where everyone has the same gun.
I feel that really ruined that game.
Well I'm only at a lowly EGO 207 and I've had 2 purple drops..... 1 shield and 1 grenade.
No orange and no weapons, but reading this thread I guess I've been lucky! ;)
