baby carrot with cucumber cream . that healthy ?
The carrots yes, but I feel like cucumber anything would be...not to my liking, not to be rude just seems like an odd mix, but the baby carrots are pretty awesome
Fiber One bars, oranges and tangerines, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, Yoplait light yogurts, light string cheese snacks, celery sticks. Uhm, sometimes I just make a quick little turkey or tuna sandwich with a slice of havarti cheese to munch on while I'm killing things in Skyrim.
hot pockets and mountain dew, breakfast of chamipoins
personally i hate cucumber but that cream is good xD ... what about something not 100% healthy . a milkshake ( put ice cream of choice(prefer chocolate) , a banana or other fruit , some milk , a egg or 2 and some yogurt ) now put that in a big beer mug and enjoy =D
If you guys haven't had a peanutbutter and banana sandwich then make it, make it now, nothing is more filling and better tasting after working out, and yes Fiber One bars, oranges and tangerines, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, Yoplait light yogurts, light string cheese snacks, celery sticks are all amazingly amazing
i love peanut butter and banana sandwich =D but i add some sugar in it
Granola Bars are relatively healthy no?
Granola bars can be tricky as far as healthy eating. Like certain Fiber One bars are not very fiber filled they are more sugary and carbohydrates. A healthy snack depends on your activity level...
If your active then protein centric snacks with light carbs are a good choice... yogurt, lean meat, egg, whole wheat, granola.
If your sitting and playing Defiance for 72 hours, stick to water, the occasional cup of tea (caffeine), and fibrous veggies, with some sort of bread here and there. :-D
I mean if your healthy enough a Whopper isn't too bad for you... lol
Eh I just eat what I regularly eat
No fast food
No sugars
But I don't care if its carbs, fat, or protein calories as long as its not a lot and under 1800 calories
So far I still lose 2 pounds a week.
I mainly drink water and eat almonds when I'm gaming and it's ****ty out and I just don't feel like it haha but you also gotta watch how much water you drink otherwise you just wash out all the vitamins
Peanut butter and a banana sandwich is very healthy, especially on whole wheat bread. It's filled with protein and healthy fat you body needs. It's good before a work out too because of the slow burning carbs. I stick to yogurts, nut mixes, fruit, sweet potatoes, and high protein foods such as chicken and fish.
Bing cherries. Usually grab a bag of them before long road trips to keep me from eating junk.
Everyone loves that classic sandwich snack but sandwich would be more superb if we have nutella. Nutella the name itself makes us drool and probably same with the students of Columbia University. Read more at: Columbia Nutella incident
Nuts, fruit, veggies w/ dip
Stay away from carbs.

Yeah this is the best stuff for you. And you can drink as much water as you want, just take one of those multi-vitamin pills once a day. They're great.
You can get those flavor squirt things to add to your water, and mix 'em up so you never get bored with water. Also, almonds are high in protein so they keep you from getting hungry.
Dried banana chips, grapes, celery (although I hate it), raisins, and greek yogurt are also very good for you.
Oh, and drink lots of caffeine. It's a wonder drug that increases energy, fights cancer, fights aging, increases your libido, and has the same chemical that gives you a feeling of happiness that both chocolate and sex have.
Oh, and pineapple is also an interesting thing to eat, it also increases your libido and this may sound weird but it's said to make a certain something taste better to girls...
I like dill pickles. Once you find a brand and flavor you like you can buy a huge jar of them and they'll last forever. In the summer I like to drink sparkling waters with lemon or lime flavor. If I start to feel like I need a cheeseburger I'll look at pictures of girls who are more attractive than me until I feel insecure enough about my body that I don't want to eat for the rest of the day. It's delicious!
Anchovies, and tabasco sauce. Eat an anchovy or two, shake some tabasco sauce on your tongue. Flavour explosion, and I don't feel the need to eat for a while longer.
Also, porridge, with fruit and honey. Delish.
I get a jar of Vlasik every time I go to the grocery store. Good for a quick snack alone or with a chicken and pepperjack sandwich. For those speaking of a peanut butter and banana sandwich; if you're looking for something a little different but just as tasty, replace the peanut butter with Miracle Whip. Not sure about health but it's mighty delicious with just a hint of sweetness to it.
Mostly I'm fruits and nuts kind of snacker. Trail mixes, dehydrated fruit chips, pistachio nuts and the like. My uncle is a hunter back where he is so in the cooler months I'll get packages of deer jerky that I absolutely love. My vice is soda though, can't quite break into the 160's because of them but I enjoy them too much to put them down :( .
Have you tried other types of nut butters? I enjoy Almond butter with my bananas or celery.
Chicken wings. Also, what's that h-word in the thread title mean?
Awesome! I'm one of the few people where I'm at that will happily gnaw on raw celery. I get looked at like I'm weird so thank you for making me feel normal lol. Not sure if you were directing that towards me personally but to answer the query, I use to be real big into Apple Butter (if they even still call it that) but between me eating so much of it that I got burned out and the fact that I can't seem to find it when I want it, I've not really explored other toppings for my celery.
Another snack that I use for a meal sometimes is just straight up grits. Easy to cook and very filling if I don't feel like cooking a full meal or want something other than finger food.
I have not seen apple butter in a market in years, but some times the local farmer markets are bazaars will have it with other home made preserves. I love grits I am a country girl so I grew up with a garden only vegetable I won't eat is Lima Beans. I just never fancied the taste
Country girl just means you are privy to good food :). I know you just mentioned you never fancied the taste of lima beans but a good four to five hour slow cook with some hamhock and a little bit of Soul Seasoning (comes in a white and red labeled bottle) can take the earthy taste right out of them for you. Still have to make sure you wash/soak them thoroughly tho (which again, you being a country girl I'm sure you're aware). A pinch between two fingers of minced onions can had some wonderful flavor as well.
And grits...man alive. Grits are an underrated food in my opinion. So many things you can do with them. From frying up some crispy bacon to crumple up into them, to pouring them inside of a homemade omelet before turning it over, or my personal favorite: Dice up some tomatoes and onions, chop up one piece of hickory smoked sausage, bring it all to a boil or until it's as thick as you like and use it as a nice topping. One of my favorite stand alone meals actually.
Ranks right up there with a good batch of chicken bog imo.
I never had Lima Beans cooked like that. Funny thing is it took me until my teens to eat brussel sprouts or Peas. we use to have Grits I say 3-4 times a week with breakfast as kids. My Grandma had 8 kids and about 5-7 grankids and we all have big breakfasts with lots of grits and bacon.
Brussel sprouts I can eat, but i REALLY hate the way they smell. Same thing with chitterlings, though I sometimes have trouble with the fact that I KNOW what it is I'm eating. Brussel sprouts go really well with fresh butterbeans if you have the patience to shell them (one of my happier childhood memories involves the picking and shelling of various beans in my great aunt's garden).
And one last thing, not sure if you like seafood but you can never go wrong with a nice bowl of shrimp with your grits :).
That sounds good yeah I love seafood just about most of it. When we were kids we out camping and fishing a lot. I love fishing I always send my son and husband away from the good fishing spots lol.
I use to love shucking corn and yeah we had to hull lots of beans. Once we put a baby garden snake in my aunt's crate with her beans... It was worth the scolding.
I'm honestly laughing so hard at this for some reason. I just have this image in my head of your husband and little one walking away all dejected, hands in their pockets, kicking rocks as you gloat over the prime fishing spot lol. Feeling you on the "hidden goodies" in crates too. For my mother it was frogs....probably the only time I was laughing as I was getting my backside tanned =D...which of course made it worse lol.
