Before it used to drop from random events (derelict vehicle, kill skitterlings...). Got no keys from random events since this week end (got from 800 to 1100 in the meantime so it s not a random flupke). Was there a nerf or am i just crazy?
Anyone noticed this?
Don't know. Didn't see any mention in any of the patch notes threads, and sledge said that the changes listed are the changes made (nothing hidden) so yeah...
Not nerfed, however only certain dynamic missions give keys, it has always been this way.
All the hugbug ones are 100% chance.
While the derelict, aswell as hostage ones usually do not.
Indeed, a good rule of thumb is that if there are hellbugs there will be keys as well. Only exception I can think of is the "Bugged Out" event with the farmer being attacked by skitterlings. That cheapskate can fend for himself.
Personally I wouldn't mind if they either reduced the keys per event but spread them out so you can do whatever pops up on the road for them, or that that they keep the amount but make it a 50-75% drop chance at completion.
don't think they should reduce them tbh, thanks to them I am having alot of fun just driving around, not to mention my new char has yet to use fast travel once since I always feel I can find something to do along the way to missions/shops.
I meant it should overall stay at the same amount but encourage us to stop at any event rather than a select few.
Oh i see! So that s why i did not get any keys doing events from 800 to 1100 rating, since i was in San francisco, and there are no hellbugs randoms there! Ty for clarification
So there was no nerf, i was just punished for doing high level randoms (which IS stupid.)
Pretty sure it's just buggy. The easiest missions (random scitterlings on street) are the fastest and give 3-4 keys. The harder mission which spawn enemies in several waves including bulwarks/other elite units take much longer and mostly do not give anything.
Yeah san fran randoms are generally the only ones i avoid, the time vs reward rly isnt worth it there. Others I do keystone or no keystone for xp
