Defiance 2050 Trading Petition

They should make trading available in game, but limit it to weapons that have not been used or modified in any way.

The problem I see is that if trade isn't there from the start it could be years before we see it added or not at all, it could be like when they were going to fix the (still) broken warmaster in a later update, or when we were going to have the option of private expos in a later update..

Agree, trading is one of the things that made defiance great. We want more options for 2050 not less. I don’t think it is needed as much at launch since we are all getting a fresh start. The point is if we don’t get it at launch who knows when or if we ever will.

Agreed, trading is a core aspect for defiance and most successful MMOs. As most people can't sink the time to hunt that 1 weapon they want. instead lets say they happen to get a weapon someone else likes who has a weapon they like what's the harm in trading for example i loved incenerators and not many people did so people loved i spent money on the weapons they did not enjoy . I did not play much of the beta as it looked just like defi1 to me and i did not want to commit time to a wiped server. but If trading isn't going to be implemented at start, this might be because they are planning on a pure pay to win experience. As defiance 1 was simply a pay to shortcut with grinders being able to still compete with heavy spenders which wasn't bad(least how it was when i left not sure if this changed). This game is looking quite dim and more on the lines of trion trying to make a quick buck off of thier small community. If they want to grow then they need to follow the aspects for traditional mmos or risk not pulling any new loyal players to follow the revamp they are trying to release. Instead being more ahort lived than defi1 and Destiny 2

Since last 1 didnt post I Agree with what everyone is saying about trade needs to be put in however without it people would be forced to grind and work for their items instead of looking for charity handouts but some players did play for the trading aspect so theres some good and bad ill admit that.... this is my opinion alone but id like it left out for a while.... see who can grind and who is too lazy and expects Welfare cheques and charity style handouts

I don't get it. The only reason D13 had a community post-Destiny was because of trade.

They took 5 years to rerelease the game and everything is either the same as it was or worse. I mean, the servers are still garbage, the missions are still hold square on something, the new leveling system is worse, vehicles aren't balanced, the companion tv show is canceled, and now there's no trade.

The best part is that this is all while Destiny, which is the same or better in every area mentioned above, is a dead game.

Seriously, why did they even bother?

I'd rather the absolute worst case scenario happened under trade where a dupe glitch is discovered so Trion reverts the servers a week and I lose a day of my life than play the game as it is now.

Just put trade back in, you've had 5 years to figure out the kinks. We all know the power leveling argument is dog**** as it wouldn't be hard at all to restrict trading to equipment your level or lower.

Why 2050 wont have trading,. Because of 2050s power rateing system , it can not have trading. Since that would allow people to skip the leveling system all together. Say im a new player power 50, but my friend has played for awhile hes power 2500. if trading was possible, to power up i would just need use or borrow these higher power weapons , then snap my power rating goes up, no effort or grind. Trading was a big part of defiance, but it simply does not work with this silly power system

Why do people keep saying that? Again, it is not difficult in the slightest for Trion to restrict trade to items your Ego or lower.

The devs at Trion aren't idiots, that is not why trading isn't in the game. These og players are right, it's because people would abuse trading for things like duping equipment and selling arkforge by upgrading people's stuff for them. This can be maintained, but Trion refuses to moderate their servers, and they've failed to implement timely fixes.

It's time we learn to let go, Defiance 2050 is their last chance just like Battle Royale was Fortnite's last chance. Your move Trion.

I think that what they may actually do it develop some system where when you trade, the item you receive self adjusts to the level of your current loadout. I also assume something like that is more complicated than we think which is why it didn't ship with the game at launch!

I also wonder if they'll restrict trading to level 50's, since you never get purples/OJs when you are a baby level right now at all.

Do what D2013 didc, you cant use a gun unless its your ego, forcing you to lower it, and you can raise it with AF, use that mechanic and put it in 2050, cant use unless its your PL, You lower it and use cores to raise it.

Just do whatt tye OG Defiance did, the mechanic exists just use it, If its not your PL You cant use it unnless you lower it if it was a item traded

And that video is an exploit, resulting in a ban if used and abused

then they will have to ban a lot of player from xbox EU

I just know Glitches/exploits to gain an unfair adv is prohibited

I absolutely enjoyed trading stuff in D13. There will be trading in D2050 as well according to the last live stream on twitch. Just not now for power leveling and such. They didn't say much more than that if I remember correctly. If you look in the player chat selection you can see there is a trading chat channel. There's one more thing in the menus for trading but, I forget what exactly it is. Hopefully we won't have to wait much longer though.
