Mystery code revealed by DefianceData

There are more pressing matters now, and this message has no intention to divert attention from them.

But if you think you could use a freebie and get at least one answer for a mystery, read on:

The code below was published in a promotional video TrionMobi hosted for Defiance 2050, a while ago (That's why it says it's a "VLog Giveaway" when you redeem it). While Mobi speaks, it appears in an outdoor behind him. No one knew what it was all about - until now. DefianceData spilled the beans and it looks like a totally new outfit for 2050 players. Or maybe I just never heard its name before. Since I was not able to buy a Founder's Pack, I'll let you check it out for yourselves, if, and when you can:

Then it is possible the code was valid only in the original date the video was published. I claimed it on Glyph normally on that date. Since I am not in 2050 yet, I cannot verify if the outfit above will be available for me.

I relayed the information of the code and outfit from the home page of DefianceData, as it is shown right now. Perhaps I should have waited until 7/10, to test it... but then I thought the code could expire before launch. So I posted it and asked you guys to test it...

Everything in my account always appeared as "Defiance PC", but was applied to OLDefiance PS3 anyway. This probably means "Defiance PC" is the trademarked name by which the game is referred to in code. It's another "clearer communication" from Trion.

This particular code should appear in everyone's accounts as "Defiance Vlog Giveaway". Here's an example from my log:

That means you already input the code in the past, like me. I got it directly from the original video, but later on, this code was published here in the forums, so you might have got it from there.

Check your log, it should appear like this (with a different date, probably):

I just managed to redeem it fine, it then appears in transaction history as 'Defiance Vlog Giveaway' so maybe those who cannot use it already have that?

Not yet able to get in game to find out what it gives in game.

I used the code, got the vlog message bit, but no outfit awarded.
I did get the Prime drop outfit.

My glyph accepted code, but ive been locked out of game since last night, so i have no idea if it worked

Was this just a PC only code?

As it says in the OP, this code awards anyone, in any platform, a Stratotech Outfit.

The code is not limited to PC.

The code works, but can not be already claimed in 2050, because Trion's hands are full now. Mobi said it would be distributed to everybody by the end of this weekend or the beginning of the next.

If you already claimed the code and it appears in your Transactions History, just relax. It will eventually appear in your in-game claims when they finally sort it out.

Btw here is the newest info for the stratotech outfit (and beta title) for all those who missed it or thought the code didn't work like lots of us thought originally.

it works fine and gives you the VBI contract rewards outfit big whoop

I just used it no problem and it applied to my account. I just clicked the redeem button on this and it put it in box on glyph site (make sure you are logged in) and applied to account. It says Vlog giveaway defiance 2050 pc. I just hope it shows up ingame cuz i play on xbox.

It will show, don't worry, PS4 owners already received it.

But if it takes a long time to appear on your claims, you might contact CS about it.
