Location of the secret vendor in San Fran

I keep hearing that some people have found one
Does anyone have a exact location of where it is...?
I hear its north east of the Overpass shop

Pretty sure it was determined to be trolling, and pretty clever I might add. I'll believe it's that until such time as someone posts a video or something.

Secret Vendor is at the small lake directly west of the Crater.. have to fight a few 99ers and it appears

That is not in San Fran, but is a hidden vendor nonetheless.

thats not the one he is talking about. and fyi that is only 1 of 4 or 5 secret vendors in the northern map

I know of 3 hidden vendors not 4

there is one a crystal pond one at caretakers cabin & one at hermit's hideaway all close by top notch and muir processing plant

oh well, 3,4,or 5 it doesnt matter. my point is there is more than one, and this isnt the one that the op was talking about

There is also a Wandering "Event" type merchant that needs rescued when he shows up, he can be anywhere.

I think this may be bugged, I have "saved" the merchant a few times and I am unable to interact with the container. Am I missing something?

get in vehicle drive short distance away then come back that should allow you to interact with it

I have not seen a "wandering vendor" at all, and I've been playing for over a month, now.

And this thread, before the necro, died out nearly 4 months ago. It's entirely possible, given everything else they've nerfed since then, that the vendor no longer exists, especially if it was bugged at some point.

Correct but as far as Im aware said vendor emergency doesnt have a special title or vehicle associated with it like the other hidden vendors.

And no, unless something changed, there isnt a hidden vendor in San Fran in a fixed spot.

Just FYI, it's not gone. Did the emergency 2 days ago.

Yeah the Vendor Emergencies are still there... I also see them pop up as merchants on my map from time to time

I've seen one frequently in Madera on a road running north/south just east of Iron Demon Ranch and south of The Hatch.
I've seen another instance of it on the road west of Mine 99, in the past.

The secret vendor was Charlie, but you had to do a few things at a specific time for him to interact with you. Apparently there was a bug so they removed him for now.

You're right, the vendor emergency doesn't have a special title or a vehicle associated with it, however you can buy Green Frontier SAW's (I believe they are Frontier, but might just be FRC) from this vendor for 1,000 scrip. This is a much more efficient way of leveling up your LMG skill and not wasting a ton of salvage on the same gun.

I have done it multiple times on the southern road that goes from Port Stinson to Last Chance. I haven't seen it spawn there since Volge emergencies have been around, though. In fact, there is almost always a Volge emergency in the exact spot the vendor usually spawns on that road. I haven't seen the hulker at San Quentin since Volge's either, but than again I don't play as much as I used to.

I have been there before. many people have. there is also a fast travel point there too... i belive they just added it a little while ago. its a small place with a statue next to it.

That would be Coit Tower, It has always had a shop there. The fast travel was added when the bloodbath gorge one was added.

The Vendor emergency is also definitely a thing, I just ran I to him last weekend and picked up a sweet purple Northstar Flare with a +4 clip bonus roll on it.

Since the volge started showing up, the random vendor emergencies have become more and more scarce. I think it also goes back to the first time the plague was introduced as well. I went for a while without seeing a vendor emergency, then saw 2 on the same day, and haven't seen another since. That was a little over a month ago.

What they need to do is add 1 or 2 more hidden vendors (maybe fixing the heaven's gate vendor that broke during the rogue e-rep/hellbug inclusion) that actually sell outfits for scrip :)

Most often it's in the Mount Tam area. More often than not, I find it on the northern road leading to Serenity Academy. Occasionally I see it on the main road in Mount Tam between the Construction Depot and East Radio Tower. I've also seen it in Marin and Madera. Never seen it in Salsilto or San Fran.

It's only logical for this to occur. Each emergency location has a list of emergencies which will spawn there. The more emergencies on that list, the less likely any ONE specific emergency will spawn is lower. Additionally, with the inclusion of a new emergency type, it appears the new type gets heavier weight in the random generator. (Think of your MP3 player. If you rate certain songs 5 stars, those songs are played more often than the one you rate 3 stars.)

Before last month I was able to save the wandering vendor and able to interact with as well. There are only 3 vendor shops in the San Fran area in total, as to my knowledge I've never seen one wandering vendor there. I may very well be just to hostile of a place to be wandering around. Maybe that's why they got rid of Charlie the construction worker, my dear friend.

Thanks I will have to check those areas out.

The wandering vendor appears when the roads have been cleared of other emergencies, It first starts near to earth camp then proceeds further south.
