    Three parts to Irathients.
Has anyone found more about this. I know they are gyabire(brain), gyargye(stomach), and gyagbe(heart). There was a reference in the wiki that they may be more spiritual terms, but nothing else. I'm assuming the gyabire would be intellect and thinking things trough rationally. The gyargye I think would be on impulse. Gyagbe would be closely tied to emotion. I would like to know more because I'd like to play and "think" in the correct Irathiean(?) way culturally. Or at least make the conscious decision to stray from them from my characters point of view.

I have not been able to confirm if they are the physical brain/heart/stomach, a spiritual sense with different words for the physical body parts, or indistinguishable (similar to how we say "his heart broke" to mean emotional anguish, even though physically his heart might be ticking along just fine).

As more is learnt more will go up. :) But at the moment, us poor fans have very little information (though I like the Irathient I have heard thus far)

(I wrote that article btw on the wiki/Learn Votan site)

And that is where I got some of that information. There is an example of 'passion' being (very) loosly translated as gyaargye, which is why I was unsure if it is the words for both physical/spiritual sense of the body part and the underlying spiritual sense as well, or if there are separate words.

    Guessing, but...

It's probably both. A lot of cultures associate specific body parts with specific spiritual/emotional aspects, retaining the belief even though science proves them wrong. A lot of people still think of the heart as the seat of emotions even though we're pretty sure that our emotions are mostly to do with a lump of squishy grey stuff in our head.

Indeed, though seeing as I am trying to learn the languages (see my sig. ^.^) I do want to know if they are the same, or separate. :)

I know that the first episode had aired (haven't seen it yet waiting to watch it on hulu when I get time tomorrow) have we heard anything about the parts to Irathiants?

Nope. There was a god mentioned though.

That was the pilot; I think it was amazing how much backstory they managed to expose given that the basic purpose of a pilot is to make people want to watch episode 2.
