Exactly. Or half the time things aren't even activating. Yeah...no thanks.

I haven't played SkyForge since they completely overhauled the progression system...is that still worth playing? Might be time to revisit...I remember it had really lush background visuals, and I remember that was one reason I didn't mind grinding in it.

Warframe is still eminently playable, despite them ****ing around with the UI which caused a ripple effect of bugs...

Defiance is dead unless Trion does something amazing. This would absolutely have to be something on the order of...

    1. Expand the map. This means you have to hire more devs? Really? Guess what? Idgaf. You wanna keep up in this brave new world? You have to hire more and better devs.

    2. Add more story lines. Seriously. Wtf would you reboot Defiance to try to make more money off of it (when the opposite, in fact is now going to happen since regular Defiance is no more--you erased your entire player base/backup revenue stream in case 2050 bombs. Congrats!) if you're not going to come out with something different from what you just had. This logical exercise which has just revealed that the avaristic emperor wears no clothes was brought to you by the number 0, as in the number of players you're going to have if this keeps up.

    3. Get your coding stable, for the love of God, and fire whoever the hell released it from beta, because this is definitely not anywhere near a release-able perma-beta. This feels like you just slapped it together and we're testing it for you. If you're going to use the entire player base as your beta testers without compensation (perhaps that is why we are required to sign the eula every time we log in, hmmm...?), then you need to be frank about it. As there is no clear end-game strategy for Trion with this game, other than same ol', same ol', just a different console, you are going to watch your numbers dwindle ever faster as more cutting edge f2p games are released to take your place and push you into your rightful place as irrelevant--unless you do a seachange in the game.

    4. Address the ugliness and glitches that are still present from the first incarnation of Defiance, like the rubber-banding. Wtf? Are you kidding me? Who the hell thought, "Oh, yeah, it's Defiance 2050, no one will notice the rubber-banding!"? Get it together, or you're fired. My PS4 HDD is precious, and there's limited vacancy. You want in? You better be able to deliver to me a triple-AAA blockbuster quality f2p game like Warframe or SkyForge or (insert f2p mmo here) that you continue to build on. At least over at Digital Extremes, they're trying to expand the storylines of the game, even if their delivery is a bit sledge-fisted.

Bottom line: Trion Worlds wants my money and time and HDD space? They gotta earn it just like anyone else, and they haven't impressed me at all with this lukewarm "reboot."

    I hear you..
Sadly It might just be too late for Defiance 2050 to make that kind of impact it needs considering weŽre now at the last year or maybe 2 years left in the Current gen of consoles at least, and I doubt weŽll see the "push" this game needs to really knock our socks off.
But Miracles has been known to happen. hell they happen in games all the time :)
