Charge Blade/Experimental Weapons on XB1

I've just completed all the arenas to unlock the charge blades, finished the cut scene where I was literally handed one and yet have nothing to show for. Also during this cut scene all of the characters in it except for mine did not have a face. Gunslinger Arenas are nearly impossible to get anything other than bronze or silver on currently because the experimental weapons are unobtainable, my character just sits there fumbling around with the loot crate endlessly and never picks it up. The only way to stop it is either die or open the pause menu.
