got through the tutorial mission and sniper ridge, and had just got on my ride to go do another mission and the game kicked me to the dashboard with no warning, nor error code.

Haha, join the club! I actually stopped playing as I spent more time logging back in than I do in game. I've made a post and keep an eye on it but sadly like mine yours is falling on deaf ears...
