Turn off emergencies to reduce lag
Currently the emergencies serve no real purpose. First the core rewards were removed and then the salvage, so now you only get XP which can be had everywhere else. In addition to reducing lag, it would also eliminate the hazards afflicting the paper thin vehicles.

The dev's should be able to turn them off quickly and without interruption(like they did ark chests and sieges).
A reduction in lag should be quickly realized.

I agree with this. They serve no purpose. You get no rewards for doing them and they are just an obstruction.

They would have to remove them from clan progress as well .

Well if they turned them off, the world would be really barren, thats like saying to turn off all pedestrians in GTA V... Will it really improve server performance, probably/probably not because when you look at it Defiance 2050 has less happening in it than OG Defiance yet they perform roughly the same...

Not only this, but they'd need to replace it with something else. Every bar in clan activities gives stat benefits depending on how far each is progressed.

While I HATE it when Emergencies are in the way of time trials, they don't really bother me otherwise. They give a token amount of script, but they provide another thing to do. Another distraction from the current meta of farming Arkfalls, Arkbreaks, Co-Ops, and Sieges.

If you got salvage reward from them they may be worth doing but whats the point in getting exp from them since exp is worthless at ego50

    Weapons leveling.

You want the game to be nothing but an Arkfall or Siege every 45 minutes, and nothing on the map or on the clock in between?

Does mission xp count towards weapon leveling though?

If you havent maxed out classes and want to avoid the crazyness, emergencies are a great option.

Using the weapon to damage badguys counts towards weapon leveling.
Killing badguys counts towards pursuit kill req's.

Read the pursuits to see what players can be leveling/acquiring by playing through the map.
I've come across several vets who forgot that stuff.

I disagree, they should have emergencies give salvage (even if the enemy mobs themselves don't drop salvage). Roads without emergencies would be too barren as noted.

May I ask which reply you'd like to have erased, and which forum user you'd like to have banned for it?

I have a suspicion that removing another in-game event wouldn't do much to reduce lag. The bigger problem for me is that these roadside emergencies don't render fast enough when you're driving down the road in a roller that has the strength of a wet paper bag...

    Just my two cents.

Never had them not load fast enough, but had hellbugs pop up from the ground right in front of me. X

    Old D-13 trick for that:
Keep an eye on the minimap.
When you see what looks like an ammo crate square on/near the road - you know that an event is going to pop there.

At this point the only sure way to reduce lag and crashes is to "turn off" the whole game,
i tried it and it works miraculously, no lag, no crashes, no frustration, the perfect Trion game. /sarcasm

Yes i know not constructive at all :D

I have yet to see that the 'Roadside Emergencies' actually get counted for any of the Factions.
Hell half the time I don't even get a pop up for anything I do in the game saying, "You got a faction tick' of some sort.

Even 7th Legion messages are suspect, because the Devs turned off that information in the Statistics UI.

Oh, my bad... I'm usually too busy trying to dodge the mighty skitterlings running in the road to take the few seconds required to scan the mini map for ammo crate squares on/near the road.

    Next in line
I donīt agree on turning off the emergencies, we already have so little to play, no, just make salvage drop again.
Let us play the game the way we want Trion.

I'm simply waiting for the relaunch of the relaunch in another 5 years time.

It will be identical and/or even worse.

Maybe move em off the roads? like you drive by, chicks like "hey ppl are in trouble over there" but unless you go there nothing spawns in? happy compromise?

Or just spawn them to the side of roads outright, like those random events that spawn in the middle of fields in the middle of nowhere.
