in regards to cheaters make sure you have all the facts before reporting people

just a heads up if someone has a high power rating and using a "gore augur" its not cheating the gun hits it target and literally does a damage over time nano ability that can and will kill a lot pretty fast, only thing is the gun is also a prototype and rare as hell

reg mobs die within seconds, higher guys like monarchs, tankers(when hit on the tank), and the like usually take 4-7 shots to kill(some less some more it depends on the higher mob you are after) and draw insane agro

bosses, it hits most and only counts the initial damage done, hellbug bosses on the other hand it depends on which one

haven't tried it yet in coops but I know in pvp its a one hit kill because players even with decent shields will get one shotted

so before you go and accuse someone playing legit check their gear and ask them how its modded and which stats they have on the gun(legit players don't mind sharing their builds as it helps all as a whole)... I know a few players in this boat and if trion asks I will gladly give them names but I wont call them out here

to be honest though the gun they are using I wont be surprised it gets nerfed like "THATS that" did

It likely will, just like all the prototypes are likely to get nerfs. They stated that they don't want the prototypes to be "better" than any generic weapon. Which seems odd to me as the ones that aren't link to zone pursuits can be very hard to get. I've gotten 3 Venom Spitters and a Gore Auger on my character while another clan member who has more play time then I do and has been specifically farming the enemy types hasn't had no luck.

I can only imagine the frustration of someone who keeps farming for hours on end to get a prototype, only to get the nerfed and "meh" feeling version. Kinda like the That's that feels right now. It's not a "terrible" weapon by itself, but it is when compared to other rocket launchers. I can kill most enemy types that That's that could with 2 or 3 mag generic rocket launcher, but That's that requires a reload. It's really sad. The major trade off to That's that was it's long reload time. Now it has a long reload time and can't dps effectively as any of the other rockets. :-(

Im sure they have a system in place that will determine real cheaters and those reporting butthurt.

The amount of reports they get relating to PVP alone must be overwhelming.

after seeing the vid for the flying one shot killer in pvp on youtube I haven't bothered to want to touch pvp in this one yet

I’m certain bringing attention to the weapon like this will surely get it nerfed. This post appears masked by a warning to have all the facts and instead of targeting pvp in general the post is directed towards a specific weapon. Suggesting to check a players gear but still only referring to a specific weapon. I personally don’t have that weapon yet and I’ve stayed away from pvp. Too many bad memories from OG Defiance pvp. However, I do agree that a player should have proof a player was playing unfairly. Which is why the dev team ask for video footage. Photos won’t work.

I have given up trying to farm for them. Over 100 hours gameplay lots of massacres of species and only ever had 2 Venom Spitters drop. Now I just play normally and hope by chance one drops.

Players report leads to nowhere. It's not really your job to hop over obstacles to prove each individual. It's much harder to collect all the "evidence" they want then actually cheat.

One or two reports should be enough to implement the defense so that kind of cheat never happen again.

If they only get banned it's pointless wasting time reporting, both yours and theirs.

If you see someone cheating and use nvidia share, it is very easy to press a button and record, then send to Trion. Not saying go look for them. But if one crosses ones path its worth getting a quick bit of evidence, trying to get username too. I saw a video yesterday that someone posted of 2 peeps using rocket launchers that fired like SMG's. If anything it is worth a try.

Yeah, I'm willing to let anyone with plausible deniability off the hook. But anyone using long range 'shotguns' to 1HKO everything while jumping around like the Flash is gonna be observed by me until I catch their name.

PS4 here, even if you didn´t start recording for any reason when we press the Share button, afterward we have the option to save a clip.
That clip will have the last 15 minutes of gameplay recorded.

get rid of PVP. No need for a throw away mode to ruin PVE.

Only needs 1 shot if it kills with said shot. Yes it's difficult to land on most enemies, but it also shouldn't trivialize minibosses/bosses.

To be fair to this weapon my bolt sniper will instantly one shot most things. And kill bosses with critical spots just as quick as the auger. And the bolt sniper has about 10 rounds in its mag. Its easier to aim a bolt. I've used snipers a lot though

What bugs me about the auger is its sight disapeers if you are running. Makes you have to stand still to take your shot

Its very satisfying when you land a shot on some1 in PvP though

Sure I heard Rarnok say in live stream that dots are not working correctly. making some weaps OP. I'm presume once they fix dots. This weapon won't be a problem

Similar vids are why I abandoned PvP and Shadow War in the first several weeks of D-13, and never looked back.

If the game didn't care about PvP integrity, I wasn't going to waste a moment on it.
And the recent vids from this game mean I wont waste a moment on PvP/Shadow here, either.

Your sniper wont take out a Monarch in 1 shot/5 seconds.
Your sniper won't end an Ark major in the first 10 seconds of the Hellion flying around the first time.

The Auger will do that to a Monarch.
Hacked snipers will do that to a Hellion.

I dunno. I've tried it quite a bit at major's. And it doesn't kill bosses fast for me. Maybe my power lvl too low (1500 cba to get it higher)

As I said before dots are broken at the moment. It seems like it does all its dot damage very fast. There is only a very tiny delay between the ticks of the dot DMG. They probably missed out a decimal point on the delay timers

Once dots are fixed these op weapons won't be a problem. And should not be nerfed before dots are fixed

All the facts, hell, when I see some Hacker:

Jumping 50 miles into the air.
Scooting on the ground while dead killing mobs.
Rapid firing a bolt action sniper rifle, as in faster than possible.
Firing 50 missiles from a single shot rocket launcher in under 30 seconds or if you like a solid stream of them.
KIlling the Hellion or other End of Siege mobs in 2-3 hits.
Or when they show up to a destroy the crystal arkfall and kill it in 2 seconds after it starts.

Then I'm gonna report them so fast it'll make your head spin.
And don't give me some BULL about it being the Gore Auger.

I record the hell out of the hackers, get a screen shot and in game name/user name.
And I upload them to YouTube.

So if you are getting banned because you cheat, cry me a river.

IM SORRY but gore augur does 2 shot the arkfall crystals

Well, I retract some of my statement. Finally saw this weapon one shot a progenitor major boss as soon as it spawned. Yup, very broken. Please fix.

I KNOW AS A FACT the gore augur does not one shot bosses I own it
on bosses minus the bug bosses(on bug bosses it does a lot of damage fast but still not a one shot) it shoots like any other gun one shot one hit and nano effect does not take effect

so if you saw the progenitor one shotted someone was cheating

even with a 3100 power rating the gun will not and I repeat will not one shot bosses

it also wont one shot volge again does a lot of damage just not a one shot

Next Gen is Superior than PC When it comes to modders :D

Maybe it IS exploiters. Maybe it is broken. But something is very wrong. The progenitor spawned. As soon as the first appendage came up the boss was dead. Actually, come to think of it. I saw a player standing in the center as the ark was forming. Maybe this allowed them to spawn inside the progenitor and have direct access to the core? You know, this seems more logical than it being a weapon exploit. I’ll see if I can observe it more.

I've got one As well. It will 1 shot scrub monsters etc. But tankers a And such take some killing. It defiantly does not one shot bosses though. I've tried

Seen a warmaster basically get one shotted today.

I haven't had a chance yet to try it on a warmaster or huntress yet, but I do know if a monitor has shield up and you hit the shield even though shows 0 damage the nano effect takes out the monitor

I have gotten bugged to 10-shot ark crystals with a basic digger. Yes, it's no 1-shot, but it's still a far significant damage boost to a basic weapon.
