Tempest doesn't do critical hits.

I have the Tempest prototype on my second character and apparently it does not do any critical hits at all. I tested it on mobs and I used it in Shadow War and did not see any crits at all. Were critical hits left out on purpose or is it just me? Could somebody who has the Tempest prototype tell me if their Tempest is doing any crits?

seems like guns with pellet spread wont crit easily. shotguns and blast rifles being the 2 main contenders. a couple shotguns work though.
