The Fundamental Problem Of Critless Weapons.
Currently there exists a major issue and that is with weapons that do not do critical hits. The fundamental problem of critless weapons is that it essentially nulls your killing power against mobs that have critical hit spots and slows your pursuit&weapon skill progression. For example; Tankers, Tankers are a raider enemy who only take damage via the tank on there backs and there open face when weakened. Now when using a shotgun which is the most commonly used weapon you cannot even damage Tankers anymore because the tank on their backs is recognized as a critical hit spot. Another example; Tempest the new Blast Rifle style prototype which is now my favorite gun and my best gun on my second character is a great example of balanced yet powerful prototype. Tempest only has two flaws low ammo capacity which is fine because that puts it inline with other Blast Rifles, and no critical hits which makes no sense giving that all other AR's can do critical hits. Now this is sort of a continuation of my recent bug report about Tempest, but I was using Tempest to try to kill a Tanker and I noticed it did no damage at all and this was because its a critless weapon. How is the player expected to kill tougher enemies with there best weapons if said weapon doesn't do damage at all? How is the player suppose to improve there pursuit progress&weapon skills if they can't use their best weapons to do so?
