    lol well im not quit as old as you guys are but when I was about 4 or 5 I got a Nintendo 64 and PlayStation for my birthday lol

    Dunno if it counts but I had an Arari ST as a boy while all the cool kids were playing NES and Master System. My first proper console was a Mega Drive.

    Mine was a 486. A steady diet of Doom, Catacomb Abyss, Ultima Underworld: The Abyss and Hexen. Also a bunch of text based games, but I've no idea what they were.

    Been a pure PC gamer since the begining with the Apple II and having boxes upon boxes of them big Floppies (which i still have). The only consoles I've ever played is the NES and Gamecube (christmas presents).

    In the house - my brother always bought everything, so counting his stuff Atari 2600 or Pong.

    Personally, the first one I bought was either a PS1 or N64...can't recall which. I was never gifted a console - just games.
