I love that you referenced Chromehounds. +1

Pleas stop referencing Chromehounds. I cry every time when I remember the servers are gone. haha. Always cool to see other hounds around the net.

I couldn't agree more with this thread. It is funny because last night I was grinding on some Marin pursuits and finding all the recorders when it popped in my head that I was doing things on a console that I hadn't done since my computer days on OLD school UO (ultima online) days....just do things to do them and not about beating anything or getting an achievement. It wasn't even really for the ego...just to do it and say I did. The graphics are palatable, the gun play works, the server is MUCH improved, the communication/social aspect stinks, but all in all I LOVE playing. Maybe it is that while I am out I can see all the other people doing the same. Maybe it is just me being lame and being nostalgic about my UO days and grinding...either way I have a hoot exploring and running into people doing the same thing, sometimes racing them to the next side mission because somehow they are at the same point and taking the same path as I am.

Either way, I can see all the possibilities that this game can become and I while I am not rushing anything (only 498 ego or something) I can't wait for the things to come. For the world to expand, the missions to grow, the "social" aspect enhance, and all awhile I don't mind doing things over to help a friend. In order to be great you don't have to change 1 thing 100% but instead just 100 things 1%...and I believe Defiance is well on its way not to mention they are really doing something groundbreaking on a console.

I am just happy to be along for the ride and happy that my non-gaming wife (and I say that in the most extreme context) has had the patience to let me do my thing!

I'm glad i'm not alone TC...this game just blends the right things and made a lot of decisions that I love! A previous poster said it best...almost all the stuff I do in the game is fun because the shooting is fun and spot-on. Some people complain about the graphics and while I would LOVE further draw distance, I am 100% happy with the games art style and graphics. I think the game looks great and the sky at night or during arkfalls, or really anytime with a good view...is fantastic imo! Love the pacing also, it can be as hectic or as slow paced as you want it to...and combat in general is a blast. The a.i. is varied enough and they do group tactics quite well, enough to make any shootout exciting!

Love the game and hope it lasts way past the lifespan of this console.

Yes pacing is great. You control it. When I complete a story mission and see all the sidequests pop up I get a little over whelmed haha.
