I have to agree Very Cool on their part.
Not impressed that a company has the common sense to avoid a PR disaster. they didn't do anything every other company out there wouldn't have done after botching a release this badly. It's good they did it, but i'm not giving them a high five and my thanks just because they decided to have common sense instead of being stupid.

The PR problem already happened...from the bad launch. This is really a new PR move altogether.
Realize that everyone is getting this boost, not just people that TRIED to play day 1. That's pretty cool.
I for one am very happy they did this. Would I have been disappointed if they didn't? Probably. But no more disappointed than I was the first few days during all of the issues. If they didn't do it then it'd just be par (sub-par?) for the course. In this case...they finally hit a birdie.
