Namco-Bandai telling retailers Collector's edition is not available outside the US

So I have solved the mystery of why I cannot preorder the Collectors edition in NZ, and why it is not on Australian websites or any website that will ship to NZ. Namco Bandai is actually telling the retailers it is a US only Item. This is not true, as far as I am aware the Ultimate edition is the only version that is US only and only through Gamestop.

In my latest conversation with a store rep, he stated that Namco-Bandai had told him the collector's edition was US only.

All I can say is if you live outside the US and wanted to get that Collector's edition, you are out of luck unless you make some noise. Trion needs to get onto Namco-Bandai and give them a swift kick because they are botching this game's international Launch.

That's pretty lame :\ I normally buy the normal editions, but was planning on getting the ~€60 collectors edition.

Here in the United Kingdom the Ultimate edition is available (at least I have pre-ordered a box from Amazon.co.uk - but it does not contain the "making of" DVD apparrently) and the Collectors edition is available from for pre-order from a large number of online and high street retailers.

All is not lost! Oh...no wait it is...We just got confirmation of the release date here in New Zealand through EB Games... 30th of April... O.o That is not a typo. THIRTYITH of April...

I'm going to get my UE Edition quicker...And that is coming in from the States... O.O

Also, standard edition with no bells & whistles advertised...$98 NZ for PC version - That is approx$85-$90 US depending on what day you make the conversion. Thats right, it is $35-$40 cheaper to go through Steam...Which also comes with bonuses.

If you want to get a collectors edition, do what I did. Pre-order from GameStop web site. It's about $230 NZ all up for the Ultimate Edition including postage. Takes about a week or so apparently to arrive.

Trying to decide whether to laugh at or cry for you guys...

Distribution for Defiance is so bad.I still don't understand why in France there is only standard edition available.But in Germany and United kingdom the 3 differents versions are available...And of course without any warning from Trion...And when i see how is a mess in New Zealand and Australia...You have to live in North America and be a PC gamer to get answers without asking...

I just checked Amazon.co.uk the collectors edition is gone, only Ultimate and normal now
