Shield Exploit

Why is this bug still in the game? Currently PS4 NA has a specific player who is constantly asking for player duels then uses the shield exploit and brags about how he’s using GOD MODE. He’s dared to be banned in chat when players call him out for exploiting and because no one seems to be doing anything about it he’s now teaching other players how to do it.

I personally have stayed away from pvp because of this exploit. But as long as no action is being taken against players who are abusing it they will continue and teach new players how it’s done.

saw this loser in zone last night, just mute - problem solved(I know it doesn't really address the issue, but is good quick fix);
why would someone need to do that? does winning a duel build self-esteem?

I thought this was already a well known exploit since its been happening for as long as I remember. Every PVP is usually ruined by someone shield glitching and some in open world too... I just thought the dev team were already aware of it lol :confused:

Wasnt this shield exploit supposed to have been fixed all the way back in october? Or was it left out of the fixes like many other things that keep being pushed aside?

It's possible that they are aware of it, but it may be classified under a different name. The process here may be to check to see if it is the same thing that they have...or if it is something else. Only time will tell I suppose. :/

If they are aware of it then a fix should be rolled out almost immediatley as its cheating. Not leave it for months without fixing it.

While I am unsure of how simple of a fix it would be, I will agree about have it being left for so long. The Trouble in Paradise update mostly fixed the issue in PvE, with some areas still being left susceptible to the problem, but PvP...It is possible this next update may finally address the issue though, since Shields from what I saw on the PTS scale DOWN when Power rating is lost. In other words, a 5000 rating Shield at 5000 character rating has more value than a 5000 rating Shield at 2500 character rating. I would have to guess that this will be translating over to PvP as well but it is possible it will not work the same way...

Pretty sure I know who this is, and I already have them muted. I'm at an age where I have zero time for that playground tough guy act.

Easiest mute of my life, to be honest.

And yeah, an exploit like that shouldn't still be in the game. But hey, it's a small staff with a large list of bug fixes.
