The current 24-hour day cycle is only about two hours, am I right?
But why?
Most MMOs use an actual 24-hour cycle. Meaning, if you play during the day it'll be day and if you play at night it'll be night. But that never really works either.
What I suggest is a 6 hour day cycle. This means that the world would be day and night 4 times a day, a perfect amount to fit the player base and make the world more alive. Two hours is MUCH too fast. It basically changes from dawn, noon, dusk, midnight to dawn again after every mission. It's probably just me, but I've always felt that a more alive and realistic day cycle can make the world much more attractive and appealing towards the story. It changes the game's style completely for the better. Imagine doing arkfalls when it's daytime ALL the time. It makes it dull. But doing arkfalls during daytime and then nighttime, it would make doing arkfalls more fresh and different each time. A longer daytime and longer nighttime just keeps this game fresh.
What do you guys think? Should it be 6, 8? Or should it stay at just two?
