Ive played Defiance a tiny bit because I rented it at release but was unable to play much because of server problems. My main question is, should I spend the money on this game? I played Rift and enjoyed it very much but from what I can tell from the time playing I did it does not seem nearly as polished as Rift is. Everything just seemed sloppy to me. I guess I just want some feedback before I go spending money on this game. I am torn!
Wait until Monday then see how it is, they're releasing a massive patch then.
try not thinking this as a traditional pc mmo but instead think of it as Crackdown 3, its a great game, 360 users aren't use to mmos or the launches and patches involved for the first two to three weeks, if you are worried about not being able to play wait a month then buy it and hopefully all the big fixes and critical bugs will be worked out plus there will be more content when you start playing it. I love rift, I just recently quit playing it, but this game is nothing like it, HOPEFULLY they take some ideas from Rift and put them in this game.

I would suggest rent it again see if you enjoy the buy if you like.
First week was a pain in the butt due to sever crashes bug glitches ect. ect. ect.
You will still run into bugs but they hammered most of the server crashes and lag issues.
Most not all.
I would definitely recommend this game. At first I wasn't so sure I would enjoy it that much but I was proving wrong and have been somewhat addicted to it!
I'm currently past level 500 but there's still plenty to sink my teeth into.
rift has been out for years so ya its a polished turd.... this game need a lot more polishing but its part of game development. to be honest though its a good game this far excluding the server and bug issues associated with a game thats been out for only a little over a week.
I would say yes if you have a group of friends to play and talk with while playing and no if you don't. Without the cooperative fun, it's just a mediocre shooter with bland environments and a disappointing loot system. I'm not saying I don't like the game, just that I can see why a lot of people get bored quickly. If you have some friends to run and gun with though, you can sink a lot of time into this game. The coop missions are easily the most fun I've had with it and contain some of the most memorable moments in the game with the bosses.
yeah I agree, ive done nothing but solo, this game would be tons more fun if I had some friends to play it with but not a breaking pointQuote:
