I usually support steam, and the add-ons are nice, even though I don't think they'll hit the goal. I'm broke, I'm buying from a site that I can get a discount on.

I bought the Digi Deluxe version from Steam yesterday. Even if it doesn't reach any reward tiers, I'll still get few nice bonuses.

    At 21% now!

I'm confident that we'll hit the first tier reward. There hasn't been much advertising for this game yet, and I think it will begin rolling out heavily next week. Steam also has Defiance on their main page as of today, which is a first, and IIRC I saw someone mention that IGN has it listed on a "Top 10 upcoming games" List that was released the other day.

I wanted a physical edition and got the UE. So yeah Steam is not exactly an upgrade for me. I really want the bag!

Considering how fast they got to 22% since they started offering and promoting the game, tier 1 is a nobrainer.

Wait, wait. You can tie activate your game on steam if you buy it elsewhere? I don't care about the bonuses from steam, I got the UE from gamestop, I just want to have the full steam community access without the iffy "add game" function.

Don't get me wrong here, I really want to see everything on the Steam version unlock. But I'm pretty sure there's 100% between each tier... meaning a total of 300%. That 22% you're seeing I'm pretty sure means there's another 78% to go to just unlock Tier 1, not unlock all 3 tiers sadly. :(

Also, I've been keeping a close eye on steam... around 3-4 days ago it was at 13%... in that time it's now at 22%. I'd really love for that number to climb a little faster to be honest.

I did specify tier 1. I actually don't think it will reach tier 2 at this point, but who knows. They really should have put the TV show out first, followed by the game ... but whatever.

Yeah, the TV show first would have been a good idea. I was also just clarifying because the first time I looked at it, I had assumed the percentages were broken into thirds, like 33% might unlock Tier 1, 66% Tier 2, and 100% Tier 3... but then I noticed each Tier had a 100% counter each, which kind of sucks to be quite frank/honest.

I don't know how true it is, but I heard that the second and third tiers typically take less people to create momentum. Where it may take 10000 people for tier one, 2 may take 2000 and three 1000 ... or something like that. Don't know for sure.

I'll pre-order from Steam. I like Valve, and want to support them as well as Trion.

Here's hoping we get Tier 3!

    I pre-ordered from Steam.
The sniper was too beautiful to pass up.
    So was the inventory space...
and the chance at having the growler...
    and a lockbox...
    and all the other neat stuff. <<;
26% and a couple of weeks left! I honestly just want t1 so if we hit that, I will be happy. :)

Already preodered my $60 version, and could really care less about a few extra worthless bonuses.

Anybody bought just the deluxe upgrade from Steam? Did you get a code to apply to your Trion account?

I bought deluxe from steam, but no code yet. I assume they will send one out the 20th like all other retailer pre-orders.

Yeah it is highly unlikely Steam with hit all three tiers. So close to launch, I think it hurt overall.

I still don't understand why trion themselves don't have more stuff to offer, after all i would expect them to get more of the cash when tehy sell it directly. The vehicles are neat, but i realyl want those inventory spaces, in every MMO that is what i need most.

I jumped ship, was pretty easy to get a refund from Trion and then go to Steam via their chat support.

They publish themselves. They receive the same amount of money regardless if you purchase through Steam, themselves, GameStop, or anywhere else. The only difference here is that they generate more sales by being flexible and easy about refunds because of the positive customer interaction. There's no middle man to pay.
