Even though the MMORPG site said PC, I entered it on Trion's site and was prompted with this "Defiance Beta Event Release Week", so who knows..

here is what it says after you get key

Create your account or log in with an existing Trion account at https://defiance.trionworlds.com
Click the APPLY CODE tab.
Enter your Unique PC Beta Key in the Apply New Code field and click APPLY.
Keep an eye out on your inbox for your invite email with instructions on how to download or update the beta client. Please note this email will be sent out from March 20th on, so if it doesn’t appear immediately don’t panic.

so that means invites sent beginning March 20th

I swear I saw some material somewhere stating Beta was on March 21st and it included consoles... but I can't locate it again.

maybe it will include consoles but the specific keys for MMORPG.com are just for pcs

I wanted to give the game a try just to see how my computer handles it before I place my pre-order. I will now be able to do that.

The part about Beta event Release week could be talking about the week before the release of the game or I am just seeing things?
