I'm still assuming they never will, but it wouldn't be that surprising if they did down the line.

Devkits for new consoles have been out for a while. It's not impossible to think it's already been in development.

Current consoles easily live to year 2015. If this game is still very popular.. maybe then.

But think of how much more popular the game would become and REMAIN if it were to be a launch title for the next gen.

backward compatibility? and console player that want to play newer game for the newest console. I don't think they make games for the xbox. But make games for xbox 360. Pretty sure the same with xbox 720 comes out.

I can see 360 and ps3 going as far 2016 or 2018 even. These systems although they don't have the ability to make games with the graphics on the new systems they can still produce amazing games. Sadly a lot of people i see at my job are always wishing graphics are better and wont try certain games because the graphics are the best. Like that's what makes a game better.

Are you sure about that? I love my Xbox 360, but it really is showing its age. Hell, even looking at Defiance. Look at all the FPS issues.

I don't remember seeing any expiration dates on my PC, PS3, or Xbox360. During the PS4 announcement, the creepy ********* looking guy said they will support PS3 games. XboxNext (or whatever) is having its announcement on May 21st and I'll bet it has backward compatibility too.

Given that the PS4 doesn't have backwards compatibility, I don't expect the NextBox to. It'd be nice, and it'd give them an edge over Sony, but meh.

Defiance will not show up on next gen consoles. In order for a new console release they would have to recode the entire game and use entirely different servers. Not happening for a nonsubscription game sorry.

Developers understand that people will not abandon ship on the current gen for about another 2 years. This is why battlefield was the first big title to announce launching for ALL platforms new and old.
