I am wondering since Trion wants to keep making weapons complete garbage for pve due to pvp whiners/bad players, Why they don't just make it so the weapons have diffrent stats when your in pvp mode? this way they can balance pvp (since they seem to be so worried about something hardly anyone bothers with) without having to kill that weapons effectiveness for pve. Take infectors for example, they are already fairly bad in pve, and now they are getting worse cuz of people whining in pvp? Just nerf them for the pvp side, and have the pve base stats be untouched (or even buffed so the weapon is worth using). Same thing with rocket/grenade launchers, the only decent one to use from those 2 weapon types is the ones where the one projectile splits into 3-6, the rest of them have such poor damage to reload/mag size to make them not even worth using.

Trion has done this with skills in Rift, some of them have diffrent versions for pvp that are nerfed a bit compared to their pve versions due to being too strong for pvp. Like the Warden Ability that adds 40-60% damage for the next heal/attack spell, I think its nerfed down to 20% in pvp with a alternate version of the skill.

Anyway the question is: Why don't the devs do this? it would make it much easier to balance the stuff when you don't have to make changes that impact the weapon in all modes. I mean like what I said about infectors, they get nerfed when they are already a fairly bad weapon in pve, Just cuz some people in pvp don't know how to roll to dodge is just silly.

Because that would make too much sense. And as we all know, Devs never do the obvious choice:p
