I don't get why this is getting so much hate. Whenever the game has been shown on console it has been on 360, so surely the PS3 needs more testing. I know that I will actively be seeking bugs (not hellbugs) and if I'm honest, trying to break the game, then reporting as much feedback as possible.

Also even if Sony has got exclusive rights for DLC and longer beta ect, what is the problem, look at how Microsoft has been buying its way through the industry over the past few years.

I am hoping its down to testing, but if it is Sony wading in then tough, these things happen.

That's what game video's are for, They let you see what the game looks like and how it's plays. They give you all the info you need to decide if a game looks good or not.

Have anyone thinked that xbox360 beta will be so short and after weekend coz gears of war: Judgement is coming before weekend and Microsoft wants many buyer/player for that game?!

Hrm, logically, I don't think I could see Microsoft being the reason of one beta being narrowed to broaden another. Not that I'd ever attempt to defend MS, nor would I put it past them... but both are viable purchases/sales points on their console... from a business standpoint, wouldn't make much sense to hamper one to boost the other... even if they're more invested behind the other, it could still hurt their overall sales numbers.

you, and the rest that keep repeating "this is not play time, its for bug reporting" gotta be new to MMOs, or games in general

we are less than 3 weeks away from release.
do you seriously thought for a second that anything you report will be paid attention, let alone fixed?
do you seriously expect them to code anything at this time?

most likely they are already up to the neck in post-production work, plus full boxing/shipping process. anything reported now would be put in the backburner and dealth with after release

they have lifted the NDA
they have been handing out dozens of thousands of keys like candy

its beyond obvious this is:

a) a server stresstest
b) publicity stunt, a glorified marketing campaign to reach to the masses


so yep, people should just go and play and smell the flowers, because at this point you may aswell report bugs after release.



Im kind of tired of people with zero understanding or experience in how MMOs work trying to give others lessons....

So we've waited all this time to get a one day beta test on the Xbox 360...wow.
