That's actually not petty at all in my opinion. I, personally, have been waiting until said BETA to pre-order or not. MMORPG console games (speaking mainly of DCUO) have not impressed yet, and I'm not going to buy this one before I try it out (yes, sadly I was one of those fools that bought it well before it ever became F2P).
With that said, I really don't think I have/will have a firm grasp on whether I want to spend ANOTHER $64.19 in April on a game I've never touched or seen in real time, and that doesn't have a predecessor of any kind technically. 48hrs most likely isn't going to change that for me. Especially 48hrs during the release time of Bioshock Infinite. YEAH, good job guys...putting this out during the release of a HIGHLY anticipated, and heavily delayed game that STARTED ON THE 360. God this really pisses me off actually...extremely poor scheduling.
Now as for going to PS3 for longer play time...playing it on PS3 will be pointless. I'll get used to the control schemes (yes, it's not hard to switch back and forth, but reaction will be different no matter what for a time so I'd rather just skip the transitioning.) and basic differences of the PS3 (also a lack of a decent chat system), thus defeating the purpose. For me, I seriously hate playing shooters on PS3 due to the ridiculous misuse of the trigger system (and no...I shouldn't have to change control schemes to make the TRIGGER BUTTON stand for the gun trigger in-game).
I'm not even going to proof this...just talking about this cluster F that I have been waiting so long for makes me want to go punch a lamba in the face.
