Xbox 360 / PC Defiance gaming

Greetings fellow Arkhunters.

As I am new to these boards, i'm not sure if this question has been asked before. So here goes:

Will 360 and PC Defiance players be able to play together, and if so, does buying the game for PC, entitle playing it on the 360, and vice versa? As I own both a 360 and a PC, this is ofcourse of certain interest to me. Not sure how it works playing an MMO on console, as my experience in MMO gaming has been limited to PC titles previously. Thou naturally i'm curious if it's possible to play the game on either/or since I have 2 avenues of playing the game. Not intending to buy 2 copies, just so I can play on both.

So basically, can I buy 1 copy of Defiance, and play on both my PC and console?

PC and 360 gamers can't play together. I can't imagine one copy of the game covers both systems (99% sure), but I don't know for certain.

Edit: They were willing to cross-platform but there was a snafu with the first-parties so it's unlikely to ever happen.

Nope. As awesome as that would be, each platform is its own game.

Thanks for the quick response. I thought that might be the case, but it's safer to ask for certainty. On a related note, will beta access to the PC version of the game, allow beta access to the 360 version?

Here's another thought. Game is supposedly without monthly subscription. Can it be played on the 360 without Live Gold, or must you still pay that fee?

This has already been answered. You must pay for Windows Live Gold to play the game.

do you mean xbox live gold, windows live gold died a long time ago and having anything to with GFWL would be a deal breaker on the PC.

In order to play any MP games on Xbox you need to be using gold membership. So whilst the game is without monthly subscription, we're still gripped tightly by the scrotes on paying Microsoft for gold membership.... despite the numerous adds etc but that's MS for you. Still at about a fiver a month, that's less than 2 pints down the local.
