patch fiasco? They still haven't patched (and no, 15th April was not a date set in stone, they said AROUND 15th April) how can you know the patch is a fiasco? You got the client patches before all the rest of the players? ;) :D

You guys are aware that 'around' the 15th doesn't mean 'its on the 15th'. The 15th was the date of the premiere of the Defiance tv show, and so they likely used that date as an anchor as to when changes would be seen, and changes have already been seen. As for the big patches made to the client side of the game, its more likely to be somewhere on the 16th, when both consoles will update their stores. Especially if they're planning to bring more then just a patch over.
The 16th is also situated 'around' the 15th.. right after it to be exact if you're capable of basic math. And what makes people think that this should be a hard set date and that they shouldn't deviate from it? do remember that they've been constantly patching and updating the server side, continuously spreading their resources between hard client fixes, and server fixes for the people having problems. Not only that, but have any of you ever considered what would happen if their Q/A suddenly found a critical flaw, or bug within their patch and that they needed to rework the entire thing so that it doesn't end up screwing up the players? Not to mention that changing the patch in anyway will force them to return through the entirety of Microsoft, and Sony's painful patching system?
Doesn't matter if the patch isn't perfectly on time, or if people have poor reading comprehension, want to flame the forums, or want everything to be perfect.
The patch will come, it will fix things, will break things... then they'll bend back over their desks once more to scrutinize their code, test a new patch, and try to make this experience better for everyone.
Remember folks; Soon.
Also; Should I have steak today, or Lasagna?
You mean this?
Not as amusing as watching children rage constantly about things they don't have the slightest clue about due to a) having low capabilities in the reading comprehension department and / or b) never having worked on anything related to an MMO.
Delays & issues happen. Throwing hissy fits on the forum doesnt make them go away. Feel free to keep on trying to make that happen though. Need some entertainment while I do some work.
There still finding bugs and issues in the game, would you rather then bring out a patch then every bug found in the past week will go unsolved until the next patch after this? Which could be what weeks? a month?
I'm fine with them taking there time, nothing worse then when a company rush a patch and it causes more issues then it solves.
