I think you are right :)

My patcher is showing 4 minutes and a rate of 75 Mbps average.
well correct or wrong i still downloaded about 3.8 gig in less than 10 minutes ^^
8 bits make a byte, so you could be downloading at a rate of 2.7 Megabits which is roughly equivalent to 0.338 MegaBytes or approx 338 KiloBytes (it's not, it's actually a bit more, but that's not important). That adds up to what you're saying, I think?
Telecomms and Networking generally work with bits and computing work with bytes (Sometimes they companies don't stick to this unofficial standard and mix it up). So you'd have a 1 TeraByte (TB) hard disk in your computer and would have a 50 Megabit (Mb) DSL line, for example.
Sorry, I had to clarify that.
4 GB? For those updates?
What the heck, Defiance team? We're not in beta anymore, this is supposed to be a patch, not re-downloading nearly 1/2 the game again. For slower DSL users that's an 8 hour+ download. You need to fix your file system, because apparently making small changes requires us to re-download several entire 200 meg WAD files instead of smaller updates that patch the existing ones.
Thanks for the size report, PortalNZ.
40 ish mbps for me and Im in Japan. If you're getting days on yours I can only suggest to upgrade from a 1200 baud modem :P (j/k it could simply be your provider gates such things).
