While it would be lovely for the game to do this, it doesnt. But the way it does currently handle it would work just as well for the three or so solo dungeons as it would for the entire rest of the game's main storyline. The game treats the entire story as a solo plotline if someone's there or not. The only difference between those dungeons and everything else is the instance part.
If you played through the game 100% of the time with another player like I have you'd understand what I'm saying. Every other mission doesnt care if you're grouped or not as far as the narrative is concerned. Its inconsistent only at that one area.
Hope is waning.
Week 2 and the game is still looking like it did in beta if not worse...somehow.
I find the game fun and will be playing it for a while still but I now have to wonder
how long the game will last.
Will it drag through the months carried by people desperate to see their favirote escape make it? I hope not...
Hopefully Trion gets their **** together
and this does not turn out to be just another great concept with poor execution...
but so far it is proving the latter.
Say what you might fanboys, but we're on a tedious ship here. No amount of blind hope, excuses or comparisons will fix it. In fact, all the posts claiming there is nothing wrong with this game, all the posts arguing against flaws, they all -hinder- the game. It becomes them looking at the forums and seeing two completely different takes on the game, one pretty much stating this game is anything and everything a game can be while the other is often much closer to the truth. We state the flaws hoping things will change. You folks arguing this game is good as is are simply ruining your own addiction and promising it a short life. :/
Gawd, I wish I had as much time to play as the people claiming that they have completed everything... Then I wish I had as much time to work as they spend *****ing on the forums. I could be the most productive human being evar.
