    Trion is beginning to feel like Blizzard!
    The Nerf-aholics at Blizzard combined with slow bug fixes and not listening to the players is what pissed me off enough to leave them and take my money with me...

    ...and then I found Trion and their game Rift. I was happy again!

    Now with Defiance...I've been excited for 18 months ever since I heard about a SyFy channel show tied to a shooter MMO game.

    But it seems...or at least is beginning to FEEL like...Trion is taking plays from the Blizzard playbook.

    I've had Support Tickets submitted since day one (April 2nd) and have yet to get any resolution on anything. A few thousand scrip have just vanished...buggy game software...clunky chat interface (this is the most anti-social "SOCIAL" game I've ever played)...and the straw that is breaking this camel's back...

    ...my freakin Hellbug hat has been taken and replace with a crappy pair of sunglasses (which I don't want) that are exactly the same as the crappy pair I already had.

    My only pistol that I like (FRC Northstar Flare) has been nerf'd in damage from 1010 to 598...and they didn't bother to adjust up the fire rate.

    Why should I play this game? Anything I get could get screw'd over...or simply taken from me!

    I pre-paid for the Season Pass too (which gave me the Hellbug cap)...but now I'm seriously considering getting my money back. All I gotta do is tell Visa that I never got my product as ordered...and *Poof*...refund!

    I'm sick of this!!

    I want my scrip back!
    I want my items promised!
    I want my Hellbug cap back!

    I'm not happy here Trion...and I'm sure I'm not alone in this!

    It is reasonable. This game has all the signs of a straight up cash grab. The beta was a much better game I want that back.

    Hey don't compare this piss poor excuse of an supposed mmo game with WOW. This game wont last even a ****ing year unless they start getting there **** together especially with customer service. Any issues iv had with world of warcraft got normally resolved in 2 to 3 days tops. This on the other hand iv had maybe 2 tickets open and its taken about a week tops for each ticket to get resolved one i had to resubmit because they told me i had my item restored but didn't bother to put the items in the redeem page.

    Maybe the OP has never played MMOs before, that would be fine then, but I was hyped for the game too, and as frustrating as some of these bugs are, I'm willing to give them more than two weeks.

    To each their own. I'm not saying the OP is wrong, it's his opinion. I just find it odd if I was in his shoes.

    When they took out progression in alpha they signed this games death warrant, it may have limped along being carried by the show but with all this fine tuning to make people use the cash shop I'm doubting that the show will be able to carry it.

    I doubt since its a retail game it will go FTP since it didn't have a subscription anyways but I doubt it will live to the end of its season pass.

    Most asian mmos are pretty bad as is but i feel like some american companies are getting there. No offense i think japan makes some great single player games though.

    I'm not a huge fan of Activision-Blizzard these days, but I'll say that I have much better experiences with their customer support than with Trion's current performance (two tickets sent, both closed after several days with a comment that if I still need assistance, to send another one). Blizzard also uses a much better patching system where the download doesn't reset if a hotfix is released or where you have to re-download large files instead of just the actual changes.

    To be fair, though, it's just Trion's Defiance support team that I am dissatisfied with. Whenever I wrote in to Rift's support team, I received prompt and helpful responses. Not sure why the experience with the Defiance department is so different in comparison.

    And you kind of strengthened my point...

    ...it's only been two weeks and they're nerfing the Hell out of things without compensating with another stat for balance!!

    How about items just being taken for no reason?! Like the Hellbug cap!

    To be honest...I'm not even that attached to the cap itself...it's the principle! If they were to take it and replace it with another headgear item that is also cool to wear...fine! But "WHY" even take it to begin with?!? And don't replace it with the same crappy sunglasses I already have (and don't wear)!!!

    I agree! I never had any issues with the Rift team. They were awesome from day -3 (I had early access too).

    When the servers were going to come down...it would announce/remind everyone in chat...and when they said it would be 15 minutes...it was 14 minutes or less! Yes...the Trion "RIFT" team was awesome!

    It's ONE major patch guys, get over it. These things happen with every mmo! Devs try to start balancing, and they end up screwing some things up, it's perfectly normal.

    It will take more than just one patch to get balancing and bugs narrowed down.

    So quit yer belly achin' and come to reality.

    agreed, posted in another thread that I have been thinking no rift personnel were involved with defiance from devs to cs

    they brought in a whole new bunch of people to do defiance and the rift people are rolling their eyes while pointing and laughing

    I hope you all realize how bad every launch ever of an MMO has been horrible? Yeah, the almighty WOW you speak of, the launch sucked.

    Games been out for two weeks FFS. Give it some damn time. It's like saying a child is a horrible child because it can't walk right out of the womb...

    And OP, that sucks man. Hopefully you get your things soon. Most of the people I've spoken to said the customer service was quick.

    well glad its not subscription based, the fact that no additional money has to go in is a silver lining.
