    Ah, childhood. So glorious.

3 was my favorite as well!

    Loved it!

I have the original cartridge, I play it on my RetroDuo. :)

Thank you for the enlightenment on the trademark/capitalization. As for Blizzard firing staff before WotLK, I meant their brand as a whole is a huge success, love or hate them.

Nope. If it's a specific brand then yes, but the general word is not trademarked because it's just a type of noodle.

    I'd hurt him!

If there's a Play n Trade in your area, they're like a gamestop with a conscience, a heart, and a passion for games, you can buy a RetroDuo cheap, they play SNES and NES games, and are actually sanctioned by nintendo. They also have one that play Genesis and SNES games.

The place ALSO sells ALL the old school cartridge games. I bought a NES Final Fantasy 1 with complete box, instructions, map, beastiary and spell guide. :)

Nah, the nearest thing we have to that is called Discount Games and that old guy charges through the nose for vintage games.

I will re-live my childhood through ROM's! Which I actually love because they really open up boundaries to let you experience games that never made it across the pond.

The NES came out the year I was born. It was obviously an auspicious year! ;)

I wasn't really old enough to play and understand games until '89 though. I vaguely have memories of watching the Berlin Wall being taken down, but vivid memories of playing Super Mario Bros. and Track and Field with my best friend at his house while listening to The Beach Boys.

    Sounds familiar.

My first console was an Atari 7800. I had the game Ghostbusters and Pole Position.

We had the 2600 which my older brother got to experience more than I did, but I got in some quality Asteroids time. Then my parents were awesome and bought the SNES when it released in '90 and we had the joy and horror of getting our butts handed to us by our Mother whenever we popped in Street Fighter II later on.

I was ON the Berlin Wall when the first section was being taken down!

I also went into Berlin (through checkpoint Charlie) a few times well before it came down...while East Germany was still a communist country.

No snark or condescension intended, but titling your thread, "Trion is beginning to feel like blizzard" doesn't even come close to letting them know about Hellbug Hats. And I'm sure they aren't excited or inclined to peek in a thread titled as such.

Secondly, this isn't even in the Technical Issues section of the forums.

Thirdly, have you submitted a ticket and feedback?

Fourthly, If you haven't, there's detailed instructions on how to do so in game.

    http://forums.defiance.com/showthrea...-what-do-I-now

Fifthly, (can you really just keep adding 'ly' to spelled out numeric lists?), you can always go to https://support.trionworlds.com/

    *EDIT* Forgot detailed instructions link.

Now with Defiance...I've been excited for 18 months ever since I heard about a SyFy channel show tied to a shooter MMO game.

But it seems...or at least is beginning to FEEL like...Trion is taking plays from the Blizzard playbook.

I've had Support Tickets submitted since day one (April 2nd) and have yet to get any resolution on anything. A few thousand scrip have just vanished...buggy game software...clunky chat interface (this is the most anti-social "SOCIAL" game I've ever played)...and the straw that is breaking this camel's back...

...my freakin Hellbug hat has been taken and replace with a crappy pair of sunglasses (which I don't want) that are exactly the same as the crappy pair I already had.

My only pistol that I like (FRC Northstar Flare) has been nerf'd in damage from 1010 to 598...and they didn't bother to adjust up the fire rate.

Why should I play this game? Anything I get could get screw'd over...or simply taken from me!

I pre-paid for the Season Pass too (which gave me the Hellbug cap)...but now I'm seriously considering getting my money back. All I gotta do is tell Visa that I never got my product as ordered...and *Poof*...refund!

    I'm sick of this!!

    I want my scrip back!
    I want my items promised!
I want my Hellbug cap back!

I'm not happy here Trion...and I'm sure I'm not alone in this!

I'm thoroughly enjoying Defiance and I thought the show was outstanding. If Trion delivers in any way similar to what they've done with Rift, Defiance is in for a long, bright future.

    I agree with this 100%.

They've done brilliant innovative things with Rift. In-game and on the technical side of things, hell, they won a few Industry awards for the innovative server architecture. They'll get this baby going sooner than later.

Bottom line...I'm beating my head against a wall here because I'm use to AWESOME support from Trion (Rift) and didn't expect a new dev and cs crew full of slug-monkeys throwing more wrenches in the mix.

Maybe that's why I'm a bit "spoiled" when it comes to Defiance!

I too love what I see with the game and it's HUGE potential. I also enjoyed the show...even watched it twice!

But I just can't get past the complete lack of communication and progress with any of my support tickets.

I'm probably just venting and need a whiskey sour or something to take the rage edge off. Haha!
