dunno but i also heard that they might choose some chars and use them on the show
so dont give any of your chars stupid names haha or it wont get selected
When I end up on this show I better get to play myself, I don't want some ******* portraying me

I'v only heard that the characters from the game (NPC) will be on the show, while they leave game. So they won't be found in game because they are in the show (both show and game are in separate areas)

Watch the Comiccon 2012 defiance interview video..its mentioned nearer the end of the interview by the game devs & tv show producer.
The video is pretty good as it mentions a lot of ideas that they want to do and includes a Q&A with the cast.

I always was under the impression that it was more along the lines of Guilds having a chance to being mentioned by name by characters during the show.
And NPCs moving back and forth between the game and the show.
Angry Joe had a dev-interview where it was said that if a guild does really well they'll get "a mention" on the show and that there's already "blanks in place" (sort of like Mad Libs) for cross-over and such. :cool:
Yeah im an actor, I think if i got my in game character into the show i would be rather pissed off lol, but i guess it would still be cool.

I mean.. we are playing a pretty specific set of characters with certain specific characteristics ( amongst which being an adult is one, being fit as well. ) Takes a lot of work to be able to make it as an actor, and it would be kind of stupid for them to just say 'eh we'll get the winner to play their char ' when they have -no- idea what they'll end up with.
