Weapon question.

Seriously I've been looking all over the place for an answer and can't find jack...

Let's say I have 2 exactly same VBI TACC Assault Rifles, with same basic stats (of course mine is modded so it has damage/reload bla bla bonuses), but otherwise same everything.

Only difference, on the lower left corner in the square where you can see an image of the gun in the inventory UI, the one I use has "159" and the one I looted has "899"... what's the difference?

Usually the only difference between the two will be the misc set bonus's for having 1-6 of the set. Higher level items will have more or better bonuses. Also higher level items tend to typically have more mod slots. For the damage though they should be identical not including the bonuses, as raw damage is based on your skill with the weapon if the weapons have the same stats.

I've wondered the same thing, at first I though it was something to do with the value of the weapon but this doesn't seem to fit.
